Wow an awesome experience more so the Tidal pool that is full of colourful fish and clear water. Well worth the visit more so for kids and also its free. Also the hole in the wall was a nice experience.

Great big salt water swimming pool, on clear days a few fish. Ample seating and other facilities if required.

The only down side is that dogs are not allowed.There is parking with car guards!

This is one of the places in KZN, everyone needs to see at least once. Its spectacular and truly worldly.Its 32 steps to the bottom and easily walkable by most individuals. Parking at the top is R10 a car. Worth it for your safety.

Beautiful beach with rock pool. Life guard on duty till 4/5pm. Can snorkel in the rock pool as there is beautiful fish. Almost always very windy.

Thomson Bay is a wonderful and safe place to go and relax.

I do love it. But weekends/mornings are horrible as there is loads if ants because people leave food there and cigarette budds everywhere and broken booze bottles. But its beautiful there.

My absolute favorite beach!

Beautiful tidal Pool. One can do snorkeling with children here as there are some fish in the pool. However, there are also urchins but mainly closer to the walls of the pool. At the one end of the pool, you also find the hole in the wall (beautiful rocks with a hole in them where one can walk through to the other side).

Too full during Covid time .However the view from Hole in the wall is breathtaking. The rock ledge needs to be wider at hole in the wall to accommodate pedestrians during high tide .

Thompson bay is a beautiful private type of beach. You have to make sure you get there early.Due to it being a small beach, it gets packed really quick. I however really dread the long walk from the car park to the beach especially if youre carrying heavy items.

Lovely place to visit if you are in the KZN province, a very quiet beach with a small pool friendly for kids. On the far right of the beach entrance theres an area looking like caves, while crossing through a bridge above the sea water. A peaceful place recommended for vacation.

Wonderful, clean tidal pool. You can even spot the parrot fish and other marine life from the side, without swimming in it.Magnificent sun rise, viewed through the natural hole-in-the-wall.Secluded beach, just some short steps to and from the road.

Very cool place to go swim in the sea but not get bashed by the waves. The pool is made into the rocks and great place to snorkel. The public toilets are old but clean. There is no entrance fee.

Theres a lovely tidal pool that you can enjoy some snorkeling in but becareful not to get pricked by those black urchins.. Its painful! Theres the hole in the wall which is a definite tourist attraction that leads to 2 other beaches. Remember to keep an eye out on tidal times, dont get stuck on the other side of the wall after the tide comes in as it is hard to pass with waves crashing violently against the pathway. It gets very busy during peak season especially in December. There is a long walk back to the parking area so dont carry too many things.
