What a stunning place .We got welcomed with a stunning pack of Wedgwood biscuits and cofee . A cozy log cabin with so much entertainment.We have relaxed and celebrated our anniversary peacefully on the waters edge listening to the amazing bird life .Highly recommend .

Its a great place to distress and enjoy a peaceful holiday away.We were also so happy to find snow falling just outside our Cabin during our stay and it eventually completely surrounding us, can someone say snow angels! My husband and I will definitely be returning.
We had an absolutety perfect stay at Copperleigh Trout Cottages. The Lodge was so well equipped with everything we needed and has stunning views of the dam. The farm is beautiful and all the animals are very well looked after. Our 3-year old loved the farm experience and looking for eggs each morning was so much fun. We will definitely be back!
Such an incredible time away at Copperleigh!We had friendly and quick response back when booking and a friendly welcome when we arrived!Absolutely loved the welcome box filled with some treats to make our stay even more enjoyable!The view from the cabin was gorgeous 😍 and we kept nice and cosy indoors with the heaters blankets and electric blankets !I absolutely loved the towel warmer! Such a nice touch !Really a great spot for a getaway! We can’t wait to come again in the warmer months to do some more fishing!Would definitely recommend!!!

We stayed in the cabin for 2 nights and had the absolute best time. We really enjoyed our privacy and the unbelievable views and incredible sunsets. The walks around the dam and farm are lovely. The cottage had absolutely everything we needed and more. I loved the attention to detail- such as electric blankets on the bed for the cold Winter nights and the snack basket with fresh farm eggs!We really enjoyed our stay and will most definitely be back soon.Thank you for having us!
We could write a book on how great this venue is, but in summary, this is an excellent venue. The quality of the accommodation was surpassed only by the attentive service of Ashley, who went above and beyond no matter the request. This is my second stay at this lovely farm, the first with my family. David and Alvera were amazing with my youngest when she went to help feeding the new born lambs and were always available to answer any questions we had. The accommodation was immaculate as well. Kitchen was amazing, as were the other amenities. For a family who traditionally enjoys a beach holiday, this was a real treat, none of us can wait for our return visit.The dam and fishing was pristine too.
Lovely location and extremely comfortable and fully equipped lodge. Beds are very comfortable and love all the little extras like fresh farm eggs and Wedgewood treats. Caters to your every need. Kitchen fully equipped with a lovely Elba stove. Farm manager and owners very hospitable. Serviced every day by friendly staff. Allowed for many things to do from trout fishing to feeding farm animals to walking and visiting nearby places. Great fireplace for cold evenings with pre packed fire and ample wood. Great experience overall and good value for money. The frog sounds from the dam put you right to sleep every night.

We stayed here for a week in October last year and all I can say is that it was amazing! The owner was super helpful and friendly, cabin was clean and fully stocked with everything one would need for a self catered stay. They have the most wonderful and friendly dogs especially Shep who we got quite accustomed to during our stay. I would definitely recommend this secluded cabin for a suburban detox. Loved it and cant wait to be back!

We love staying a Copperleigh. The accommodation is very comfortable and the chalet is stocked with everything you can think of. It really is home from home. The setting is gorgeous and it is wonderful being able to fish, walk and relax in these beautiful surroundings. It is also easy to do the Midlands Meander from here too. All in all, it is a perfect place for a weekend away from the Joburg rat race!

The Cabin accommodation at Copperleigh is well appointed, very comfortable and beautifully sited on the banks of the farm dam. It is the perfect getaway for a peaceful and restful break.
Our second stay at the Copperleigh Cabin was just as awesome as the first. With the same high quality standard of accommodation, with sparkly clean rooms, top equipped kitchen, best pillows and duvets, excellent fishing, swimming and kayaking, and its perfect location, Copperleigh has become one of our top favourites in the country. We loved watching the sheep and cows, playing with the bunnies and dogs, and interacting with our super friendly and attentive hosts. Our excitement to return soon is indescribable! Beautiful private setting with amazing view of the dam and easy access to walking on the property. Perfectly appointed luxury cabin with great attention to detail , modern appliances and clever layout. Lovely deck and secluded braai area. Our host Ashley is amazing! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Copperleigh Trout Cottage. The accommodation was of the highest quality, spacious, clean, superbly equipped, comfortable - we could not want for anything more.The location, in the beautiful Dargle valley, quiet, restful but not too far off the beaten track was ideal for us. Our immediate surroundings, next to the well stocked Mavela dam with our own jetty and its canoe, the lovely lawn and trees, azaleas in full bloom, made us reluctant to go out and explore the area.And the small animals - rabbits, hens and ducks were a constant attraction for the children, who also much enjoyed the daily feeding of the sheep, lambs and calves.Our hosts, Ashley, Alvera and David made us feel so welcome.We will definitely be back!
It was the most amazing weekend , it was not our first time at Copperleigh and certainly will not be our last. Superb location and accommodation, the fishing was so good, beautiful walks and all the little farm animals. To Ashley and family thank you for making us feel so welcome. We had the most amazing weekend at Cooperleigh Trout Cottage. The cottage is spacious and beautifully furnished and the little extras of the welcome basket filled with yummy treats, farm fresh eggs (the yellowest yolks I have ever seen) and wood already placed in fireplace, just waiting to be lit was much appreciated. The beds were super comfy, linen high quality and the electric blankets were a nice suprise. Its a working farm but we were welcomed to join in the daily feeding of the baby animals and the big animals, watch the sheep being herded in for the evening and hunt for freshly laid eggs in the chicken coop. We had 3 kids with us boys aged 10, 12 and 13 and they were enthralled with farm life and did not use their electronics at all even though there was wifi - so that is a miracle in its own!! From riding their bikes around the farm to kayaking on the beautiful dam and being taken for a ride by farmer Ashley to see the beef cows as well as feeding the animals the boys had a ball as did us adults. It was a marvelously relaxing weekend away from the hustle and bustle and we came home feeling refreshed!! All kids were well asleep before their normal bedtime and have since enquired about what is required to become a farmer!!! We will most certainly be back!!!
Beautiful location and great hosts. The cabin is well equipped, tastefully decorated and very clean. Lots of lovely extras for the kids like toys, treats and dvds! The kids loved all the animals. Couldnt have asked for a more peaceful and tranquil setting. We will definitely be back!

Sorry for the late post. Copperleigh over New Years was fantastic.We were fortunate enough to have both the cottage and cabin, so we had the entire place to ourselves. The new cabin is great, and was really enjoyed by our daughters. As usual, Ashley delivered on EVERYTHING, standards, and just shear relaxation. First time for my dad and sister... they have said it is definitely a go to place for a nice relaxing break. Well done Ashley and Co.
Probably the best agri-tourism establishment in the berg. If your kids have any inclination to farming, you need to visit this place. Accomodation far exceeded our expectations.

A quiet tranquil double story cottage overlooking the dam which is stocked yearly with trout. Its been graded by the AA as Superior. On a working farm. Watch the sheep being fed. Amazing host and definitely a home away from home. Highly recommended

A wonderful place and highly recommended. It’s situated in one of the most beautiful areas of South Africa and the perfect place to rest and enjoy the beautiful scenery and nature. The owners are so very friendly and go out of their way to cater for your needs. The cottage itself is absolutely stunning, very spacious, perfect for families, kept phenomenally clean, has a cozy log burner and a great collection of movies on DVD & Bly-Ray, and is maintained better than most hotels we’ve stayed in! Also we slept sooooo well in the beds. Absolutely zero complaints from us. Stop thinking about it and just book your stay already!

Probably the best self catering accommodation we have stayed at.All very high quality comfort, facilities and management and staff.We enjoyed the walking around the farm and being around sheep and cattle. Ashley the manager was most informative and helpful. This is a beautiful, secure, large cottage in a pretty garden on a working farm with access to sheep, chickens, rabbits and trout fishing. It justifiably has numerous current Awards and is impeccably clean having every modern convenience and more along with the kind, generous hospitality offered by the host, Ash. Even if the weather is bad there is an under cover patio with a Weber braai, indoor fireplace, numerous games, DSTV, DVDs, books and WiFi available. The Visitors book understandably shows many return visits by Guests - well recommended and close to the Midlands Meander too.
Relaxing weekend away. Trout fishing and working sheep farm. Lots for the kids to do. Amazing hosts.
