Amazing place! Informative guide and great to see these majestic creatures as well as some others up close.

We think that Kevin Richardson is a very good guy. It is amazing what he does for the animals. We had a lovely stay with very good food a friendly staff there. We wish him all the best for his work in the future.

So much more than just a lion sanctuary! Kevin Richardson has dedicated his entire adult life to building relationships with these animals, making documentaries, YouTube videos, writing a book, and even making feature films to enlighten others on lions and hyenas. He speaks around the world trying to educate the masses on the plight of these beautiful animals and how they are disappearing from nature and eventually from our planet if we don’t make changes. If you tour the sanctuary, you’ll have the opportunity to see many of the lions, black leopards and hyenas in his care. They are magnificent, happy creatures living in large enclosures and Kevin rotates them between enclosures so they don’t get bored with their surroundings. Our tour guide was Marinus, who is so excited and full of great information about the sanctuary and about what Kevin does with the animals and in his foundation work. If you are lucky, you will also get to meet Kevin (if he’s not off at a speaking engagement) and we were even lucky enough to see him interact in the enclosure with Bobcat and Gabby. It was truly incredible to be there after following his work for so many years. A great tour providing unique perspective on lions and their habitat. Don’t miss it.

We visited the sanctuary prior to going on Safari for a week and it was a very enlightening experience. If you go make sure to get the mobile phone numbers of the guides before you arrive, otherwise you might find yourself sitting outside the gate trying to get through to a landline that doesnt seem to work anymore.

This was the coolest experience i have ever had, and our guide was an absolutte Legend! 10/10 rating. Next time i will come as a volunteer!

The Sanctuary is spreaded in almost 22000 hectares. They conduct a 1.5 to 2 hours tour where they introduce you to their stars and also provide valuable information about them. Currently they have Lions (white/brown), Hyenas, Black Leopard. If you are lucky enough then you will get a chance to meet Kevin Richardson.

The lions, leopards and hyenas in this place are quite unique and look happy and beautiful!the way there is quite an adventure, long bumpy road, then a locked gate with many signs, but not saying kevin richardson. in the end we arrived an hour later than expected.for 350 rand we were shown around by a nice guy driving us around the place showing the enclosures and talking about each animal.despite having to sign a long and detailed indemnity form there never was a risky situation in the place.
