Wow this place is definitely value for money. We paid R30 per adult and walked around for 3 hours. It would have been more but we were on a tight schedule. Theres so much to see here and its kept so clean and lovely. I was honoured enough to spot an owl inside the building too. My parents felt quite nostalgic seeing all of the tractors and whatnot. It was well worth the stop. The staff were very friendly and helpful too.

A wonderful school outing. They set up stations to show the children various aspects of life long ago like handmade toys, a donkey that gets water out of a well, how candles were made, various farm animals and their uses and others. Best of all is the children get to make their own object out of clay, they make a dough roll and braai it and they get a tractor ride. A really educational and fun-filled morning.

It was a different experience.I would say its very interesting to view all equipment used in agriculture within South Africa. Its a great location for a museum and all information was very helpful With signs explaining how old each object was.Alot of interesting extra facts present along with animals also present on the property.

JUST VISIT THE PLACE AND YOU WILL UNDERSTAND, THE SMELL AND SOUNDS OF A FARM, THE SOUND OF THE WIND BLOWING THROUGH THE TREES, IT IS SO SO CHEAP TO ENTER, ONLY R30 PER ADULT! BUT THERE ARE SIGNS OF NON MAINTENANCE, IT IS A PITY THAT HISTORY IS NOT ALWAYS PROTECTED. MY FAVOURITE SAYS TO VISIT IS SUNDAYS. PITY THAT THERE IS NOT A RESTAURANT ANYMORE.

The Ditsong Willem Prinsloo Agricultural Museum is a pallette and record of the industrial revolution. It is not really just about agriculture. Yet at the same time it speaks to those aspects most articulately, highly recommended. Facilities are great, theres a conference centre and place for conferences and overnight stays in dorm-like fashion. A must visit.

This is a nice picnic spot with clean bathrooms and an interesting museum. I think with some funding for upkeep of the grounds it will be amazing

St
Review №31

With the restaurant closed, apparently indefinitely, and little else to do apart from at old tractors, the museum is sadly disappointing. The shop is under stocked and the place has a deserted feel on a weekend.Perhaps school outings are still received with enthusiasm, but on a sunday it can best be described as a place to lose your mother in law while you go to some other place for lunch.

Lots of old and valuable wagons, and tractors and agricultural equipment, some dating back to 1840 and further back. It seems as if some maintenance is needed in some cases, we booked a guide to take our group through the museum, but he was not available and there are beautiful restaurant infrastructure, but for some or other reason there is no functioning restaurant , this no coffee

A wonderful place to escape from the city. It is close to Pretoria. A very educational experience. A lovely place for a picnic or braai. You can look at farm implements and wagons from the late 1800 to 1900. The are some farm animals from historical breeds. Unfortunately due to lack of funding and personnel, things are a bit run down.

A walk back in History. The museum offer a variety of equipment as well as Vehicles from the past. Vintage wagons, cars etc on site to view and explore. a great day to visit is the Mampoer festival every year where different distillers showcase their hand crafted fruit based products. Taste Mampoer and visit the on site exhibition of how mampoer is made.

Mampoer fees was not what i expected. Should rename it to food festival. 1 stall where you pay R20 backs a shot and at the tasting room R30 bucks a shot, ridiculous!!.Beer and craft room, you again have to pay to get in and then pay for your beer. Sorry not worth the drive or the money.

Ideal for a weekend outing from the city, this old farm turned to a museum, situated between Rayton and Bronkhorstspruit offers a restaurant, curioshop, a collection of agricultural equipment from yester-year and some farm animals. Be sure to diarise the hugely popular Mampoer festival which takes place on the grounds of the museum during June annually.
