This was not an exceptional experience. The seating area is very hot 🥵 with the sun shining on the umbrellas. We ordered our food on 13:30 and it only arrived at 14:11, so we waited for 41 minutes and when they brought the food they forgot to bring the extra garlic pita that I ordered. I also told the server that I wanted glasses with lemon slices in them but instead they brought out Lemon Ice-tea. The tablecloth’s were dirty and our table was the only table that didn’t have a citronella lamp 🪔 on it so the flies were prevalent.

Fabulous venue for a lazy chilled day out. Food is exceptional. Great atmosphere.

We were delightfully surprised by the quality of food, service and hospitality of this restaurant! The food was as fresh as it can be! Delicious! If I could give more than 5 stars I would! We had a platter selection and it blew us away!!!! This is my new favorite in Cullinan!

The best service. The owner personally comes to your table. Thats what you want from a local restaurant! Also, I feel like Im in the Greek Islands when I sit there. Their platters are definitely top notch!

Wonderful restaurant to visit and have fantastic Greek food. We ordered the Greek platters to share and they were very good. The chicken stuffed with feta cheese in a creamy sauce was my favourite. There is a great park across the road that has old mining equipment which the kids loved.

Staff was quite friendly. The food was average- the yoghurt and lemon* sauce was quite bland. The salad was also not so great; more like shredded lettuce with two olives, cucumber and feta.

Great food I have to say, but the owner is dam rude to her staff shouting and going on for herself in front of customers, she made it seriously uncomfortable for everyone, Zack and Helen are fantastic waiters and really made us feel welcomed and service was great. I just feel sorry for them as the owner is nothing short of a Karen and drinks way to much.And as I am reading the comments I note that the owner cannot handle criticism by her responses.

Great tasting food with big portions!

The name says it all.We were welcomed by a friendly waiter and ordered lots of food - we were hungry.But we could not eat half of it.Since when do grilled artichokes come in a cream sauce? Since when does baklava taste sour? The chicken was dry, the egg plant greasy; at least the tsatsiki was nice.Unfortunately the waiter was not interested in our leaving half of our orders uneaten. He charged us in full - and this place is expensive.Having paid about twice as much as we would have in any Greek restaurant, we felt unsatisfied and longed for actual Greek food.As Greek as It Gets, indeed.

Great food

We arrived at 11.45am, we were the first ones at the restaurant. There was no water (even though the other shops in the area had water) the food took more than 1 hour. Bottle of sparkling water was opened and there was tap water in it. The manageress is very rude - and dismissed our complaints. Food was VERY average. My chicken had blood in it. And we had to remind our waitress countless times to bring drinks. Food was very overpriced for what we got! The general facilities in the restaurant were really not up to standard!

Very quaint restaurant, perfect for a Sunday drive and some delicious lunch. Staff are very accommodating and sufficient. A little pricey but the food was well worth it!

WOW! What an amazing experience. My husband and I booked a table for Saturday 21 December 2020 at 19:00. They had set out a romantic table for two on the walkway and as soon as we sat down offered us some Peaceful Sleep in case we wanted to ward off the summer bugs in South Africa before they ruined our dining experience 🙂What a thoughtful gesture in my book 🙂 The owner, Vonnie, was so amazing. She had so many stories to share with us about the restaurant and both her and our waitress, Roxy, gave us their undivided attention throughout the evening. They took the time to find out wat we liked to eat and based on that gave us the perfect suggestions for choosing from the Meze platter. We were blown away with the size of the portions, presentation, tastes, variety and quality of the food. We had one of the best evenings out wining and dining and we cant wait for our next chance to return 🙂 Thank you to Vonnie, Roxy and Clever for making our trip to Cullinan that much more memorable. P.S: My recommendation to anyone who visits this restaurant is to take a moment to read the bio in the front of the menu to get a greater sense of what As Greek As It Gets is all about and what to expect. Disgusting restaurant with pathetic service and management. We went here for lunch yesterday and we extremely disappointed. There was no water at the restaurant and we had to wash our hands in buckets left on the floor (even though there was water at Harries pancakes up the road where went for dessert). It took over 40 minutes for our coffee to arrive and close to an hour for our food to get to our table. When we complained to the manager she was completely dismissive. My friends chicken still had blood in it! When our waiter finally got to our table she was in tears and couldnt stop crying for the remainder of the afternoon - apparently due to the way the owner spoke to her. As can be seen by other reviews this seems to be a common theme of the management. We couldnt get out of this restaurant fast enough. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!

Great food, excellent service...

Ive never been to this restaurant. But I know I never will go to it for the simple reason that the way in which the owner has addressed the review by the patron named Lior Levy simply astounds me! How any manager can address such a complaint on social media- coupled with the many reviews leveled at how managment yells at staff - speaks volumes about the arrogance and entitlement of such a restaurant owner. Such a person clearly doesnt need or want the business.

Thank you Yvonne for tour hospitality on Friday evening. Every year on Valentines weekend we eat here for the friday dinner. Delicious as usual. We missed Stavros, but having Yvonne there was great.

Casual Atmosphere. Superb food!! Cosy fireplace inside. Limited seating which means it is never overcrowded. Staff really know their stuff!

The Meze platter for R390 for 2 people was absolutely Delicious and value for money . We couldn’t even finish it and we were hungry ! We had the rump sovlaki, chicken in a stunning sauce, grilled calamari, grilled eggplant and artichokes as our 5 meze choices a d it came with a Greek salad , pita bread and dips as well as roast potatoes and spinach riceWow service was excellent and definitely worth the visit

We couldnt get out of the restaurant fast enough.The food is way to oily and not well presented either. To make things worse the Greek music that was playing was way to loud and actually annoying. On top of it all the owner kept shouting instructions to his waiters which ruined the experience completely.

Good food, you get exactly what the website promises. The staff are eager to discuss menu-options and make recommendations about drink-pairings. As mentioned on the website, expect a delay for food, but the wait is really worth it.

Great place to stop for lunch when getting off the steam train from Pretoria. Food is incredible. This restaurant can fill up over weekends so phoning to book a table could be a good idea.

We waited 40 minutes for two Esspressos and an hour for a less than average meal. The lamb chops were cooked rare at best and the chicken had blood in it. We also served an bottle of water that had been opened and tasted like it had been filled up on a farm. The manageress was aggressive when we complained and dismissive at best. My kleftico tasted like a pre packed school lunch.We are seasoned diners and I can tell you that this was one level up from a food table at a school fate.Never again.

As Greek as it gets in a small town in the middle of nowhere versus Mezepoli Greek restaurant in high class Melrose arch. Is choose this place over Mezepoli any day the food is to die for

The only thing worse than the completely un-greek and average food was the owner yelling instructions at his two waiters constantly.The meals are over priced and you wouldnt mind waiting 40 minutes if you could enjoy the calm atmosphere without the owner shouting or if the meals were altleast palatable.

We spent a wonderful Sunday here a few weeks ago and it was superb. It was very busy when we arrived but were seated and served fairly quickly. We ordered the Platters as we couldn’t decide and they were a great choice of Greek Salad, Dips, Pita Bread as well as our 5 different items from the Meze menu. Our items included Calamari, Keftedes, Artichokes, Spanakopita and Chicken Bourekia 👌🏼 absolutely delicious. Do it! It’s worth it!
