Brilliant place for a break

Cullinan Diamond Mine is an extremely big city between 730 to 890 meters underground.An old underground diamond mine that has existed for 116 years mining about of the finest an purest diamonds in the world.Currently managed by Petra Diamonds, its a rich natural diamond deposit with production of a large portion of diamond in the market. A lot of hard work goes on here, a visit to this place would make you truly appreciate the worth of a piece of diamond

All rich people are here. The tour was very educational and interesting. I want to buy a property just next to Volcano in my life. Ha Ha!

The place use to be busy but with this lock down only one restaurant is open. The rest of them are closed.

Video was old and not relevant some of the time. The guide talked far too fast so that you did understand it catch what she was saying. Otherwise the actual tour it was very interesting.

The underground mine tour was verrrry long - 4.5 hours. We walked for a mile or two through the underground mine shafts which was interesting at first, but then became repetitive. We didn’t learn much information while we were down there and did not receive any advanced warning when very loud machinery was operated in front of us. I would skip this tour.

Was a good tour and learnt alot. The video in the beginning was a little dull especially the sitting area seemed to need an upgrade. The world Cup flags had so much dust on them that they rather should be taken down. Gives the wrong impression.

This is the famous de Beers mine. It is here that the most beautiful diamonds in the world are found. The largest one would have been found at the beginning of the 20th century. It was called Killian (after the name of the mine). It was cut into several pieces and sent to Britain. The two largest diamonds adorn the Queens crown and scepter. The mine is still operating and diamonds are mined there.
