What a wonderful experience. We did the full day spa package. This is not your typical clinical, product driven spa. The decor if quirky and homely and the treatments are delivered with love and care. The staff are authentic, warm and friendly and I love that they are local women recruited and trained. This is a place where you can just be yourself and breathe and really chill while being pampered. (Oh and some nice Eco friendly touches)

Whats shown on the net and the actual place are way too different, it was oversold on the net and photoshopped. Wouldnt recommend the place to anyone. The 2 stars are for our lovely therapists and good food , just had to make the most of it since I was enjoying my friends company and we were both coming from far (wasnt worth the drive).

Watch out, they use the same foot scrubber and facial spunges for everyone. So dont be surprised if you get athletes foot/fungus or breakout with acne afterwards. Make sure you sign your slips everytime you get something to drink. They overcharged us and are completely ignoring us in connection with the refund. Such a beautiful place and we had lovely therapists, but their clients are just important till you pay. Watch out for yourself!

While it’s not too bad it’s not too great either.On the positive side it’s a very quirky space, nothing like any other spa space you have ever seen, the views over the dam are lovely & relaxing, the staff try honestly & hard to do their best and the food was very good and tasty.On the negative side the massages themselves were average, there was a disconcerting lack of privacy with other people around the treatment areas all the time semi undressed in their gowns, and there was no private changing area (in the men’s changing area I had to listen to someone else going to the toilet while changing)(also no shower in the men’s changing area)So it’s a very rustic experience with an average massage, but it’s not too expensive so relatively good value for money in the end

Not professional, after several calls and emails I could not book and was told by Liz that the establishment is closed for maintenance on the 20th September 2021 only to discover they were booked for the day. After other email enquiries for another day my calls and emails were ignored.

Super spa ! We had the full spa day package containing of 6 spectacular treatments with complimentary drinks upon arrival and breakfast and lunch ; done today and it was absolutely amazing ! So relaxing. Staff is all well trained and so friendly - ensures that you are comfortable at all times ! Food was so delicious and fresh! Well definitely be paying another visit soon !

Not too sure where all these 5 star reviews come from. Overall, not a fantastic experience. Breakfast and the lemon meringue cake was stunning, but thats about it. The same grapeseed oil is used for hands, feet, body and face. Towels smell like old oil. Decor is supposed to be shabby chic but its dirty and not well maintained. Massages and treatments felt rushed and rehearsed. Staff are friendly, but are not all well trained. They claim to use Skin Creamery Organic products...but they used the rooibos range that you can buy from any supermarket. Not trying to be harsh or critical, but I just feel that theres absolutely no value for money.

We had a lovely time at Zau. The staff is the best part. They are friendly and caring and funny. I like that some of the treatments happen outside. You can order champagne and look out over the dam. They had a good weekday special which made 3 treatments very affordable.

We have had some great spa experiences in all provinces but we always return to Zau as our favourite. Yes you dont get the complimentary slippers but the treatments are still exceptional, the staff friendly and profesional and the experience is always fantastic every time! Thank you Zau!

The best lemon meringue I have tasted. Not all therapists seemed trained and so our experience with treatments were unfortunately not the best. And the showers had really big spiders 🕷 .

What an interesting and unique style for a spa. For a small town the treatments were good and we felt so relaxed. Worth the drive from Pretoria or Johannesburg for a outing.

Definitely unique style of spa, decor and setting completely different from the normal usual spas. The food was good, friendly staff. But needs a bit more experience and some modification in the actual treatments and oil choices (not only grapeseed oil). Overall,I was satisfied with the entire experience.

My spa day turned out to be all but what I expected. With a full body massage with grapeseed oil, hand and foot massage with grapeseed oil and a facial where they wash your face with normal soap and once again massage it with grapeseed oil. The products that was used are the cheapest on the market and the staff is definitely not trained to do proper treatments they were very friendly and did the best however it was not even average treatments. The owner cuts on all expenses to make more money leaving the client with little satisfaction. With only grapeseed oil, poor trained staff, doors that is in serious need of a paint job, lack of decent towels and linen being you can not run a proper spa......

Jan Harmsgat latest addition to his Guest House and shop in Cullinan. Shabby chic/vintage junk turned into art. Spa treatments typically of an African Day Spa. Breakfast was very good and well presented. Loved the female angle like sculptures dottted arounnd the garden. Well worth booking a half or full day on your weekend break to Cullinan if you are not frkm Pta.
