We were passing through and stopped for a light lunch. Outdoor play area for kids.Service was great - we were the only ones in the restaurant. Spur is spur if you have been to one you basically been at all. Restrooms are outside - clean and tidy.

The food was ok, service not bad at the spur. Just very unpleasant in the parking area with all the children begging for the bigger children. The facilities outside were terrible, the toilets for the women were out of order and the family toilets were too dirty to be used, so we had to turn back to use the toilets at the other garage. We wont stop at this Caltex garage again.The Spur contacted me with regards to this review and gave me feedback. They have addressed the problems with the garage management and it is being handled and they have assured me it will not look like this again when we go there. I am very pleased with the prompt actions taken by the Spur management and can see that customer satisfaction is very important to them. Thanks for your interaction and I am sure the next stop there i will be able to give a better review.

Really great place. They let me sit outside with my huge German shepherd dog. We were on our way from joburg to Knysna. But though the staff was.very obviously scared of him, they still acted very professionally and brought us our meals.

I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food at this small roadside Spur outside Colesberg.We had a late breakfast while refueling at the Caltex and, not being a Spur person, we had the toasted sandwiches.Way above my expectations and I will surely visit them again.

Lovely service and lovely food. Enjoyed the experience, made our trip feel shorter. Will go again on our way home. Children coloured in pictures and before we knew it the food was ready.. Fresh chips & onion rings. Yummy

Stopped for something to eat during the middle of the day. Place was very quiet and was frankly unremarkable.Food and service was average.Spur subsequently contacted me and while I appreciate their efforts there is really no more to be said other than many thanks for your follow-up!

Looking forward to a quick stop at a spur along our long trip. We ordered our food, mostly burgers only told 15min later there were no buns(sandwich bread is to be used then) . 55min after we placed our order(food and beverages) our beverages arrived. In actual fact our beverage order was incorrect ,but we were not waiting this long again. After asking on multiple occasions where our food is we stood up and went and fetched our cold food that was standing there only to realise the over half of our order is still being processed and only starting to be cooked. At that point we cancelled our order and paid for our beverages and left. The service was slow, pathetic that we had to fetch our own food and some of our beverages. This Spur requires some serious management attention. What a disappointment, and lots of time wasted!!!😡

Good service - great waitress. But food not so wonderful.Shocked at the prices of Spurs food at yhe moment. Not the franchises fault though. But i feel the food could have been better. The lady waiting on us was amazing, very sweet and helpful.One portion was oversized and the other smaller than usual.

We just like to mention that this Spur has just been open since the 7 December 2017. My husband and i and our son had supper there this evening and we just wanted to share this and say thank you for the service and the food which you guys prepared for us. Spur still makes the best burgers. Great burger and good service. They even brought the take aways to our car because they saw me giving my dogs water

Horrible service. We arrived waited at door hoping to be shown a table. One waiter just looked at us and went pass us. We managed to get a table on our own, we sat waited to be helped, no one came. We went to lady at till to ask for service. Waited until we changed tables to be closer where we see waiters are serving. We ask one waiter to help who told us its not her table and was not scared to tell one guy who looked like a manager the same thing that we are not on her table. Service leaves much to be desired.Finally when a waiter came, she was sulking with no greeting at all.

We arrived at a half empty restaurant with a flustered manager telling us its chaos. We are seated at a dirty table and it eventually got wiped after a few minutes. The 5 empty tables surrounding us are not cleared during the whole time we are there...plates with half eaten food etc. Not a pretty sight. Waiter just appear at the table. She doesnt introduce herself, just stare at us with pen in her hand. No soya patties available. They dont make wraps.A milkshake appears after 10 minutes. Wrong food brought. After 45 minutes we finally have the whole order. Burgers are cold, breakfast served with no toast, and then burnt toast. The menus are sticky. The waiters have a stinking attitude. We lose an hour of precious travelling time.

We usually stop here every year, but today was terrible. The place downsized quite a bit since last year and the childrens playground is abandoned and dirty. My wifes ribs were horrible and service is just terrible, dirty tables, waiter never comes, my steak came 10min later then the rest of the food, etc etc. We will have to find another yearly stopover...

We planned our trip to arrive at 7am to have breakfast at spur. The waitor was unsure what time they opened then decided to tell us it is 8am, that is pretty poor in all aspects.

This must be THE WORST service and quality of food I have EVER experienced at a Spur. Best advice to the owner..... send your staff and chefs to Tablebay Mall in Cape Town for some serious training! FYI I Had to give 1 star as there werent a no-star option.

There were so few waiters that I actually thought it was self service. Out of desperation we decided to order from the take out section and eat in the restaurant. But the man using the till could barely operate it. So we walked out. I asked where the manager was and was told he was in the kitchen. Probably hiding away from the mayhem on the floor. These guys really do not deserve any of your money.

This is the worst spur Ive ever been to. The service is so bad you get your drinks on your way out at the door!! Manager shouts at his staff, cursed them for all and sundry to hear. When (after almost an hour)you get your food, it tastes like it comes out of the fridge, thats how cold it is! Ive never had this experience at any restaurant. WORST SPUR EVER!!! Oh yes, and no greetings from waiters, they wLk pass you and dont even show you a table. We had to help ourself to a table... TERRIBLE!!!

Play area was great but that is about it. Cold chicken with something extra on it! Burnt kids cheese burger (without cheese) with a patty so hard you could play Frisby with it served with chips that have clearly been reheated 🤤😭

Lovely kids play area, very clean and food was lovely! Staff also very friendly and helpful, will be back next time we travel that way!

Very hot no aircon working. I finished my burger only to discover hair at the bottom of my plate. I notified management.

Ordered 1/4 or 1/2 chicken peri_peri with chips. It was inedible. They used old rancid oil. I sent it back. Then they had the audacity to charge me the full amount!!! Not impressed.The serving staff were very friendly and helpful.
