I just want to say, that we had their chicken and chips basket and were very pleasantly surprised how good it was! The chicken was still soft and delissssh not dry like many of the baskets I’ve had in the past. The chips were also divine and crispy! I would recommend a visit 😉

Beautiful venue in the Gorge, relaxing and laid back, delicious Gourmet Shakes, Belgium Choc, The Pina Colada, to name a few....Soul food is on the menu, on a simple black board menu, a couple of tasty dishes well presented with generous portions. Chilled music in the back ground.Definitely worth a day out, you will not want to leave.

This is a venue that I can, with confidence and experience, highly recommended! The food is delicious, the staff are friendly and totally accommodating and the atmosphere is out of this world! I have been to Cafe Umfula on a few occasions, both with friends and as a family outing and have yet to be disappointed.

From ordering chips and then getting told 30 minutes later, after asking 3 times where they are, that they dont serve chips on a Saturday. To waiting for something from a waiter, but instead he is standing in front of me rolling a joint. To then having my 10% discount added to the bill instead of subtracted and then tried to charge me for shots i did not have.Also would like to talk about the discount. 2 large pizzas get 10% discount. So my total was R747, So you would think 10% discount, cool, I will only have to pay 672.3. Well no, they add a 10% tip onto your bill automatically & then take it off as your 10% discount. Then your waiter complains to us that he is not getting a tip and shows its been taken out.You robbing your waiters of a tip should not be our problem. We still tipped him but left very unhappy.

What a great place to get away from the city. Nature, calm, cool people, great service and amazing pizzas. What a wonderful way to spend a Saturday afternoon. The walk though the forest was also wonderful!

Really nice setting, Pet friendly and because of the open spaces really not a problem. I stopped over during a mountain bike ride. And had a reasonable cup of coffee. I must say though that I am really fussy with coffee.Didnt eat but the others around seemed well satisfied.

Awesome atmosphere! Come here to chill, enjoy some good food with decent portions. The coffees are really good and staff are friendly. Theres a friendly space for children to play as well as loads of trails to explore. A great space to use as a put stop while out mountainbiking.

Super cool. A hidden gem with arguably the best pizza in town. 15 min walk to waterfall and many many mountain bike trails. Just do it!

The venue is the perfect place for an event. Our 11rh birthday party was epic. We arrived early on Saturday morning and I had to beg the kids to leave on Sunday afternoon. They didnt want to leave, no iPads, no screens required. Loads of fun and games. Thank you to all the staff. Doing amazing things.. PS: They have an option to add meals to the teepee booking which I can recommend.

Food was absolutely delicious and the hospitality was amazing! Definitely 5 star for outdoor chilling with good food.Edit: Have returned on multiple occasions to enjoy the wood fired pizzas and they are DELICIOUS! Definitely the best pizza in Durban. The gourmet milkshakes were also a treat :) Ill definitely be returning to try more flavours soon!
