Authentic Italian food right in the heart of Clarens. Everything from the service to the staff and the food was top notch! Their pizzas and pastas are all absolutely delicious. I cannot wait to be back!

If you wish to taste southern Italy Pizza style you do not have to travell all the way over there.When you in Clarens, South Africa go to Bocca di Lupo and for sure you will enjoy their pizza. Exceptional.

We ordered a plain pasta with garlic and olive oil, amongst other things. The plain pasta was very chewy and just not to our liking. I explained this to our very good waiter, admitting that perhaps there was something about pasta that I didnt know, but that we just did not like it. We replaced it with another more expensive dish which was lovely. When the bill came we were charged R90 for the small bowl of plain pasta we had sent back. I complained to Roxanne, the manager/owner who reduced the amount to R45. I was still not happy as we had not eaten the pasta. In no other restaurant have I ever been charged for what is clearly not up to scratch. I said I did not want to pay for it. She insisted and threatened to call the police. I was absolutely flabbergasted. My wife convinced me to just pay and we did and left. I felt hurt, mistreated and very depressed about the incident. I still do. The rest of the food was nice. Our bill total was R700. (just for perspective on the R45 dispute).

Definitely a must in Clarens! Ive been here multiple times and have had a five star experience every time!

Authentic Italian on the square with a nice vibe.

Bocca Di Lupo has hands down got the best gnocchi! Their sourdough pizzas are exceptional and the carefully curated menu is authentic Italian cuisine. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. You should definitely visit Bocca Di Lupo when you are in Clarens.

Well.... The place is a cozy environment, the food came quick but the pizza I got had so little Italian pork sausages on the pizza and only felt like I was eating a cheese pizza. For the price of the pizza of R100 (Pizza Con Porco) I felt that it was not worth it!!

Bocca Di Lupo gave us experiences beyond great food, great atmosphere,great prices, great service and staff! The owners, chef and staff make sure each dish is specially made for you. The personalized italian custard the chef made off the menu for me showed me how much love is placed into the food and making sure each customer is even more satisfied then they ever could be according to their diet! This restaurant is a to must, to experience authentic Italian and the culture of Clarens!

The gnocchi was delicious and the owner was so friendly! We had a wonderful evening here!

The owner made us feel like family! I adore this place! On our way out we were invited to come back and try the pizza. The next day after our hike the owner personally took our order and brought our food out. The only thing that could possibly surpass the service delivery is their pizza. Its litterally the best I have ever tasted. Fresh ingredients and generous portions.

Amazing Italian cuisine!!!! They make the best pizza crust, a beautiful creamy gnocchi served with italian bacon, an amazing Melanzane and the best hot chocolate you will ever drink. Also, every pasta I have had there has been absolutely delicious. A must-visit when in Clarens.

Went to this restaurant with high expectations, but was disappointed on the following: We couldnt order any starters nor main meals except for pizza due to a gas issue, the pizza was also not the best with a soggy center. Drink menu was also limited due to lack of stock availability. The final straw was on the five items on the dessert menu, only two was available. The restaurant and decor didnt serve the name justice. My advice would be to update the decor and ensure adequate stock holding over peak periods.The only good thing was the staff that managed the chaos. Kudos to them.

Brilliant food!!Paulo and Roxanne and associated staff make one feel like family without the need to hover irritatingly. Good offerings at reasonable prices. Undiscovered GEM of a dining room away from home!......did i mention that the pizza is sublime? Decor is meh...unimportant when the food arrives, and one is blown away!!

Best Hot chocolate ever!!!!!Every time I am amazed at how the food taste exactly as the previous time Iu had the same dish. Fantastic!Booking a table over a weekend is a must as they fill the tables quick, that is how good it is.

Proper Italian pizza. Fantastic Pasta....and the Lindt Panna Cotta. Ooooo yum.2 suggestions. Some dimmed lights, soft Italian music perhaps.

My favourite place to visit when in Clarens. The food is always so consistent and absolutely delicious. From the pizza to the pasta to the chocolate panna cotta. Never disappointed. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The best pizza and great pasta too

Food took a while as a busy long weekend, apart.from that service was good, drinks keep topped up. Food was ok, pasta was a little over seasoned but the meat in it was nice.Salad was nice and pizza was ok

Absolutely sublime pizza. I had the pizza con porco with mushrooms and its definitely been added to my recommendation list. A hidden wonder and a small slice of Italy in the beautiful town of Clarens.

An understated restaurant that offers delicious authentic pizza and pasta. Ordered a margherita, gnocchi and aribiata pasta.Pizza were amazing, gnocchi was delicious.Everything tasted good.The wait was close to an hour however everything beat my expectations.

A warm, authentic Italian welcome with food that rivals, in my experience, that which is found in Rome and Milan.An absolute must when paying this little gem of a town a visit.

Pizza made the real Italian way. Doesn’t get much better than this. Haters don’t have taste buds.

Best pizza Ive had since my last trip to Italy. Definitely the right place to get real Italian pizza in Clarens.

Great find tucked away under Red Mountain House choose a table over looking the square or magnificent views of the Maluti mountains from terrace, cosy and warm inside around the woodfired pizza oven on those chilly winter nights. Owners Paulo (from Italy !) looks after guests and his partner Roxanne prepares the food using authentic family recipes in the kitchen.

Delicious food and great value for money

We waited a long time for our food. Then when my pasta finally arrived it was cold & tasteless. Give the manager/owner his due he took the cost thereof off the bill.

Delicious food

Pizza was bearable but nothing special. Undercooked.Pasta was good. Had the fettuccine bolognaise and the gnocchi. Gnocchi didn’t have much in the way of Gorgonzola so don’t get too hopeful.Service was dire. Took ages, absolutelyages to get plates cleared and for the bill to arrive.Not recommended.
