Great beer tasting with such a huge variety. Delicious burgers, friendly staff and great service. We were able to sit in the warm winter sun and have a view of the mountains in front of us. Absolutely had to bring a few beers home with us!

Always busy... So there must be a reason! Beer+ Cider +gin tasting with a great atmosphere but quite loud. Food was good although the menu changed from a few years ago where you got really nice platters with fresh bread and different sausages, unfortunately not available any more. Outside seating available and doggies are welcome!

My first visit in 4 years. Reluctant to eat, because the old menu was disappointing. I was pleasantly surprised. Shared a Brewmans platter and it was delicious. The beer is still as good as always. Compliments to chef.

Very middle of the road. Ive been visiting the brewery for more than a decade, and Im very proud of what theyve accomplished in their time with the establishment. Food selection is fantastic, ample seating and a beautiful spot indeed.That said, the beers have become bland and uninspired. Stout tastes like watery dark lager. The Blonde has lost that trademark biscuit flavour and mouthfeel. Red Ale no longer satisfies the palette. Lager is too sweet and lacks crispness. Hazelnut Brown tastes artificial. IPA almost appeared to be the salvation, but that beer was too thin as well. The sMasH was particularly bad, a flavourless beer with some Citra hop notes. All of the beers have a metallic off-flavour and are mostly over carbonated. Some water mineral adjustment and a warmer mash would improve the beers dramatically.Dont get me wrong, the beers arent bad. Theyre just not great beers. Not a spot for the discerning drinker, while Joe Average would likely enjoy the drinks.Staff appear to be of the lower order, simple questions are not understood.

A must see, small designer quality shop overlooking the town square. A few words come to mind: Lace, quality, hand made, perfection. Experience a secret hidden gem in heart of Clarens. Not the mainstream, mass produced things. This is quality like back in the old days, but with a modern delicate touch. Detail and thoughtful creative of pieces of art called “things for the house” to make it more homey & give it a touch of class...This is a must see.

Welcoming & the beer tasting is worth a try! Would like to visit this small town again to stay over - we just passed through and was quiet happy to be able to buy the beers we liked to take along on our trip. Friendly & helpful personnel and nice and busy holiday atmosphere.

Tried to book for the rugby only for the lady to say they dont take reservations only walk-ins. So we show up early only to see reserved tables everywhere. Apparently the do take reservations. What a joke. Its even on the website.

Friendly, fast service, and really good beer. They also do fruit ciders and gin. They also have really good food, much better than your regular pub food. Weve had the burgers which were excellent. Their 0% beer on tap is very good, so give them a go even if alcohol is not allowed right now (0% G&T is also available).

Very good service and great BBQ wings. Personally did not enjoy the selection of beer they had, quite limited and no Lagers. Considering I only drink Lagers it was a bit of a letdown. The Blonde was enjoyable but would be great to see if they can include more variety.

Extremely slow service. We ordered gin and the tonic was flat. Although sweet potato chips and wings were nice. Giving 2 stars instead of 3 because of how bad the service is. Would not recommend.

Fantastic food. Only problem was the waitress kept forgetting to mention things that were not available. She kept messing up. And I struggled to understand her and when I asked her a simple question, she never understood me. And I speak plain South African English. But the place is great nevertheless.

If you visit Clarens, you have to visit the brewery. They offer tastings so you can decide what you like, and you can take a few bottles of your favourite home with you. If youre not a big beer drinker, their ciders are also light & tasty.

Food was very nice, best fish and chips I have had in SA, shame the service let them down. Staff spent more time chatting to each other along the side of the restaurant than actually serving, we had to constantly get our servers attention when required
