The tasting menu is very generous- R50 to taste 10-12 unique wines in one of the most spectacular settings. Our tasting was led by one of the winemakers and she was incredibly knowledgable, informative and she took us on a beautiful taste journey from Cederberg to Chile to Cape Agulhas. Of course the Five Generations reserve wines were completely mind blowing! It was a wonderful afternoon and I can’t wait to visit again. The tasting area is kid friendly with a big lawn and jungle gym.

Definitely some of the best wines SA has to offer. David and his team is so passionate and knowledgeable and that shows in everything they do. They also brew very good and unique beers. The Cederberg is a spectacular area of the country and definitely a bucket list stop for anyone who appreciates good wine.

A great oasis in the Cederburg wilderness. This is one of our favourite wines and what a treat to be able to visit the cellar. The road in is not too bad and can be done with a SUV. The views are spectacular and make the trip worthwhile. The wine tasting was reasonably priced and all the wines are available to purchase.

THIS is the place to BE. I felt in love about 15 years ago and its still the same. A little modernized but still not over the top like some 5 star Platter winerys.Fantastic wine range and very personal wine tasting, also after closing time on a saturday....AND the owners still behind the trying desk.....

Amazing world class wines! The wines were amazing, service was great. Only downside would be a lack of tables (1 Inside) , due to a minimalist design (which is stunning)All in all a very nice experience at an affordable price. We were treated with +-13 wines during our tasting, this number varies based on which bottles are open. I will definitely be back for another tasting.

Ou should definatly try the Cederberg Wines when you pass it. You can fetch there the permissions anyways and the wines are very tasty. They have a lot of knowledge about what they do and tell you very interesting stuff about their wines. It is very cheap and very special cause it is the only wine frame in the ceder mountains.

Remember, wine tastings are not available between 12-2pm, basically when we came... All I can say is that this little oasis is very pretty and definitely worth a visit, even without actually tasting the wine.

Excellent accommodation and brilliant wines, most of which easily rate at the very least four stars. The Chenin Blanc and Shiraz-Merlot are outstanding. Theres also an unusual (and extremely competent) Bukettraube which I last tasted (2002) in Colmar, Elsace. This one was better. In terms of accommodation at Sanddrif cottages, look no further. Top-notch fittings, underfloor heating and an overall classy experience matching the quality of the wines.

Theres actually 2 buildings there: the tasting room with the hours described in this Google page, and the shop, very lovely place with chilled wines to buy (as opposed at the tasting room where they give you only room temp wines of you but bottles), chutneys and a bit of day products (toothbrush, soap...). This shop is closed between 12:30 and I think 14:30 so just a bit later than the tasting room.

World class wines! Truly surprising. Beautiful surroundings, and a modern, minimalist tasting room. Only disadvantage: there is no restaurant. Luckily Kromrivier is only 8km away, with a lovely restaurant.

Wine tasting d patience was fantastic. The most interesting wine for me was the Bukettraube, which is a cultivar of which only 70 hectares are grown in the world, 20 in Germany and 50 right here in the highest vineyard in the Cape. Of course there are other great wines on offer. There is also a little store attached that sells great little finds.

Jerome helped us navigate through the absolutely wonderful range of wines available. He was authentic real and worked in the actual cellar, which gave us a first hand experience of the workings of Cederberg Wines. We were also blessed to stay at the nearby Sandrif Holiday Resort and words do not exist to describe the beauty of the place. Thanks again Dawid and extended family for having us.

Not only is there a winery with exquisite wines, there are craft beers, neat cottages for hire and wonderful, shady grass (well most of them) covered campsites next to a river. Follow the river to Malgat and leap off a 8m cliff, or less. Fish for bass (kill them as they compete with the indigenous yellow fish), hike to the cracks or just relax with a good book and an exquisite wine from the estate. Did I mention the mountain biking, amateur astronomical observatory and Sandrif crag sport climbing.

You have to drive for a long time on a bumpy road to get there. Once you get there its a bit disappointing. No tours just tasting. The place was still crowded though. The wines are alright but not more. I would visit one of the numerous other, easily accessible wineries instead.

We did a tour of the Cederberg all the way from the West Coast and one of our places we wanted to see was this winery. We came in before twelve and were told they can not help us as they will be closing at twelve and reopening after an hour... (I understand there are many reasons for this.)My gemoed het gesak in my skoene.
