Enjoyed our two nights stay, little noisy but the main road of Clanwilliam runs in front of hotel. Wooden floors in hotel let you hear everything that happens in corridors. But overall a pleasant experience.

What a lovely time we had at Clanwilliam Hotel! Friendly staff like Glenda at reception to Patrick the Hotel Manager whi arranged at short notice a lovely room and amazing dinner - definitely some of the best rump steaks weve ever had. Great and very tasty buffet-style breakfast. Do yourself a favour and include this destination as part of your West Coast tour.

Great and friendly service, and extremely accommodating, however, facilities is in dire need of maintanance, upgrading and some attention to detail. Room had multiple spots of damaged and patched paint, no soap in bathroom, no door on shower so entire bathroom wet when showering, no chair to sit on or luggage rack, nor a place to hang a towl. Just in general need of some TLC and it would be an excellent hotel.

Was part of a family booking of 12, were 6 rooms were booked on Friday 2 April 2021. Rooms were very clean and with quality bedding. However we had a terrible experience at dinner. We sat in the dining room for more than 3 hours, plates came out 2 at a time. Portions were poor for price charged, definitely not up to standard. It took so long that I eventually canceled my order. Breakfast was acceptable. Note to management: we were asked the afternoon if we would be having dinner, so they knew we were a big party of people, either they should have done some kitchen prep, or informed us that they would not be able to serve 12 people at once.

Another unique Country hotel with awesome local staff. I really enjoy the feel.

Nice and clean room, but the restaurant we waited over an hour for our food! The rooms are not sound proof so when your neighbours TV is on you are oblidged to listen with them.

This little hotel has been our family tradition for 25 years. Love the clean, airconned rooms on the splash pool outside..Their breakfast is always the best ever. Thank you for keeping the great country feel in this special town, especially during these very trying times👍💯

Homely, all the basics, nice warm friendly service

Made a mistake while booking realised it less than an hour later. Called them imidiately and directly to ask for a cancellation. They only came back the day the oncorect booking visit date and refused any negotiation.

Our room was very neat, comfortable with high quality bedding. I was very impressed with the shower too! Breakfast was well prepared. The lady at the reception was very welcoming. Definitely value for money.

Reception and all staff was friendly and helpful. Room was perfect; spacious, well equipped (TV, WiFi, aircon) and quiet. The kitchenette and bathroom were also spacious and clean with towels, complimentary tea etc. Everything was thoughtfully planned and placed, fresh and clean. We felt well rested as we woke up. We only needed to stay for one night, but wouldnt have minded to stay longer. All in all it was a pleasant experience. Thank you Clanwilliam Hotel and Harvester Church who invited us. 06/11/20

Business email etiquette of general manager and staff is shocking.

I used to hear alot of complaint but i experienced none. The food was lekka and i had a good nights rest. The staff was also very friendly

I had such a wonderful stay at the Clanwilliam Hotel. The staff immediately made me feel at home. My room was always kept clean and the breakfast was excellent. Id like to personally thank Charné for her incredible hospitality.

This hotel is really a blessing in this small town. Very friendly environment. My room was lovely and clean. I slept well in that quiet environment. Their swimming pool area is beautiful.

Would like to go again

I was pleasantly surprised by the well finished room. This is an old hotel that has been revamped to a good standard. Very good breakfast, the bacon and tomato omelette was huge! My only complaint would be that the corridors are very echo-y when guests get back late at night.

We loved it here we stayed in one of the outer units. It was very spacious, comfortable and had everything you need for a few days stay. Small swimming pool and parking behind locked gate. We ate in the restaurant which was economically priced and the food was presented well. Staff really helpful. A great base to explore surrounding countryside.

Loved my one night stay on one of the hottest days in weeks (45°C) and was welcomed to n lovely, Air conditioned room..

Very nice place. Friendly staff and they will go out of there way to help you. Just one problem i ordered something from the menu and they did not have it. Overall the rooms were beautiful and swimming pool helps with the weather.

Friendly Lady at reception...

This is our fourth stay in Clanwilliam and first in the Hotel, and this is by far the best accommodation we had. The rooms are spacious, bedding clean and comfy (as my daughter said). There is a small fridge with small freezing area, kettle, coffee, tea and sugar. Our room only has a shower, but this is not a problem. And tv with a few more stations than usual. The bathroom is tidy and clean. There is a restaurant in the hotel where you can have dinner or breakfast.

Great value for your money.Dont be out off by the outside... Its partof their way of preserving the way the town looks.The rooms are great size and very neat and clean.

The new Clanwilliam Hotel is lovely, refurbished and pleasant. The breakfasts are good, but supper was a bit dismal in choice but tasty. comfortable and clean rooms, TV limited (decent news channels would be nice) and sometimes the neighbours get really noisy - but all in all, I enjoyed my stay.

It was my first stay at the hotel and I found it to be very pleasant. The rooms are very big. I will be coming back when on business trips in the are.

Good location in the centre of town and close to the Church where the flowers were on display. Charming welcome from Dudrey who was more than helpful . Lovely and clean ,with all basic requirements met. I had a good nights sleep .

Good day. I stayed in room 4 on 26/07/19. At 22h00 the evening children was running around in passage shouting and playing. I called reception and complained but still it went on after that.This was really the worst experience in a hotel in a long time.Very disappointed

Very loud guests (I think) in room close to ours. More than allowed number in room. Close to reception but reception allowing guest to laugh and shout out of control while other guests try to sleep. Their restaurant not rated by anyone on the internet so was not an option to eat there.

Very average hotel in Clanwilliam. Not great but not poor either. When I got to the hotel, the towels in the room were dirty. However this was rectified immediately by the person on duty

Bathroom basin cracked with temporary fix. NO LIFT so if you have a disability you suffer! Manageress when asked if a lift is available her reply was that we should lift our legs. Too much more to list where this hotel does not even deserve a thought!

This quaint hotel has a restaurant that is open to the public. We went at less busier time, the service was great although the food could use a little attention.

Place run down to the ground. Was looking forward to stay based on website photos (all outdated) and travelled from Namibia. This place has so much potential. Not recommended...

I enjoyed my stay here and was surprised by the service, normally you dont expect people in the small towns to be like this, yes i know people in rural areas are more friendly, but Clanwilliam is different. Definatly a great place to stay at.

Attention to detail sorely lacking. WiFi password did not work. DSTV channels were dulpicated so not all channels available. .. Breakfast was a case of complete disinterest from the staff. Have stayed here before a long time ago and under new ownership seems to have gone downhill.
