Very bad service. I initially gave a 5 star but had to change my rating.Throttled my VPS that ran fine for around 3 months without getting in touch with me, then gave me a sad excuse and reduced the throttling. Moved my service as I cannot deal with company that is non-transparent on how they operate so you cannot run a service off them.

Absolute Hosting services are top-notch, with affordable range of hosting plans and reliable Super-fast SSD Servers. Its support team is always there to resolve customer issues, addressing them quickly and well in-time.

I suppose the quality of service is perhaps good if you are already an IT nerd. If you are not (like me), then the likelihood is that youre going to be lost.The site is very confusing as they are displaying red warnings which suggest that you need to buy additional services (in my case a SSL certification) - yet after youve bought them they told you that you didnt need that.The staff from the support helpdesk has been showering me with messages for several days, which I am sure is coming from a good place, but they dont seem to try and understand what my challenge is. After they have led me in the wrong direction, caused me to add more problems to what I already had, and then fixed the problem which they had caused themselves, they want me to open a new ticket to start paying attention to the actual problem which I had initially reported. It is really quite draining and not very user-friendly.

Web hosting in South Africa is in a truly sorry state. Almost all the available options perform poorly from my experience. Absolute Hosting is a rare exception, with genuinely good quality VPS servers at outstanding prices. Id use Absolute ahead of Xneelo, Afrihost, 1-Grid, Domains, Host Africa, GoDaddy etc. any day of the week.

Hosting CSGO game servers on a VPS, messed up the Firewall rules, asked them for assistance, got assistance as soon as they opened up even though their ticketing system says it could take between 24-48 hours to get a response. They fixed the issue and the servers have been running smoothly ever since. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to host anything in South Africa, they have the lowest prices Ive seen in the country so far as well

By far the best hosting company in SA.Ive had a dedicated server with Absolute Hosting for a few months and have been nothing short of impressed.From the initial query on what was available, server specs and networking queries Jade responded incredibly quickly. Honestly, I was very cautious about switching my hosting to Absolute Hosting because they were so cheap and I thought it would be a nightmare and Id never receive proper support, thank you for proving me wrong!! From day one I set up a new domain, a client domain AND transferred a previous domain over. I bought a domain hosting package at AXXESS, they couldnt get my website to go live and keep sending me messages what the problem is and no solution, unfortunately they already deducted for the one day i was registered with them. I tried ABSOLUTE HOSTING and within 1 hour of payment i could publish my website and it went well. AMAZING PRICES and friendly support.

As a longtime client of Absolute Hosting, I paid a couple of months in advance. at a time as I do not have the time to do it every month. The previous month (end of April 2020) my statement still showed enough for the next month bill.When the new invoice came, it showed R11 short! I mailed their accounts department and didnt receive any feedback on why this is.I then phoned them to inquire why it showed that there is R11 short! I was asked to send a mail asking to have it investigated, so I did. Seems nothing is being done about this as I still only get OVERDUE Mails!!!Today my account was suspended. After I phoned them again, I was told to pay the R11 before they will do anything regarding this!!!!As for having to mail them regularly for feedback regarding SPAM mails not being blocked by their server, also non-existent!Their service is not what it used to be. Very Sad indeed!!!

Update: Its late on a Friday, I have problems with my SSL encryption, I raised a ticket, its all sorted by Jade first thing on Saturday morning. Great service! Thanks Jade.-----------I opened a hosting account at Absolute Hosting that involved a domain name transfer, and everything went smoothly. Once I was provided with the appropriate access details, a new database project was up and running in not time at all, just a little help was needed but that happened promptly even though it was the weekend! Part of the problem was that their copious knowledge base had many references to cPanel, but they dont seem to use that any more. There is a similar but simpler and very usable facility they refer to as your dashboard.I also like that the associated email services are effectively unlimited (in terms of the number of emails going out), previously at RSAWeb I was limited to 100 per hour (thats about 72,000 per month!) when all I wanted to send was a batch of 300, *once a month* ... !Summary: Absolute Hosting provide a good customer experience - they are recommended.

Fantastic billing support here, though I cant say anything about the service itself because I just havent used it.At the cusp of the cPanel-to-DirectAdmin jump, Absolute Hosting had a trial period of 3 months available with any plan. I signed up, intending to try it out, but never got round to it and forgot about its existence (hence cant comment on the service itself :P)Cut to months later, mailbox neglect and Oh god I owe this company R6000+ for hosting I havent used yet. Considering the service was rendered and available I was definitely responsible here, but reached out to Absolute Hosting billing to see whether I could avoid such a high (mind you, justified) bill.First (and only necessary) response was from an agent named Kyle, who had at this point already canceled invoices due and closed my account. Whew!To quote Kyle: We believe that ethnics and fairness toward our clients is very important and hope you will perhaps decide to make use of our services in the future.Excellent stuff, can wholeheartedly recommend just based on this experience. I cant cancel it or change it. If i am not doing marketing for this company in a few years i will be paying R 160 n year for nothing .....
