This practise needs to just do better. I have had 2 incidences which left me rather disgruntled and quite irritated. Drs just stroll in, don’t do routine checks on you, all they do is sit behind their desks like auditors asking questions in order to audit ur symptoms. I know we have an added complexity to medical practise with COVID but this in no way becomes reason enough for Drs to become typists. Advise to the Drs, you can still check ur patient’s symptoms, use that stethoscope when necessary, medicine can never and will never exist without human contact. Online consultations will never replace the need for physical contact. Take ur patients seriously and actually do your job, a Dr should never run with a patient’s self diagnosis without confirming it. Do better!

The place is very modern and conveniently located next to Dis-Chem. Dr Malebo Maponyane has amazing bedside manner and was great with my 8 year old. Nurses and X-ray department are also excellent. Haven’t tried the dentists yet but have no doubt they will be just as good.

Went in for a full mouth Xray for my Daughter. And the Dentist was so helpful and even assisted with a 2nd option that was better then the first option we were going to have done for her. Extremely friendly and caring. I highly recommend this practice 👌

My husband tested positive for COVID & got his results on the 29th June (Tuesday) and the first thing he did was call the doctor to inform her about the test results as agreed the day before. When he called & explained his situation the receptionist’s first response was “so”?, we were puzzled at the question & my husband advised the lady on the phone that she needs to guide him on the next steps to do. I.e. getting a COVID prescription and sick leave need to given to him (i thought it was obvious), anyway the receptionist said they’ll contact the doctor to contact my husband, Both Tuesday the 29th ad Wednesday the 30th June went past with no phone call from the doctor. We called again on the 1st July (Thursday) and my husband was promised that a different doctor would call around 4:30pm and now it’s 19:00 & still no phone call. How do you not make a follow up on a patient who tested positive for COVID for over 3 days? What medication do you think they are taking? The doctor was great based on the feedback I got but lack of follow up by both the doctor and the receptionist is totally unacceptable, no wonder why our health system is in such a poor state. People that are supposed to help us are actually abandoning key issues like writing a COVID prescription?

I am sure they will respond with a Good day, we value your feedback, blah blah and do nothing about it as I have seen other complaints with the same response. Here goes, my wife has visited Intercare Mall@R55 2-3 times and in those instances the quality of service from the Doctors was top notch, never-mind the attitude of the receptionists. In comes me and my 5year old daughter on 24-06-2021 with Flu-like symptoms which in todays world have/must be seen as high-risk or whatever the term might be. Our appointments are separate, for me 16:45, and for my young one 17:15.. we were sent by the receptionist to a separate waiting room, rightly so to avoid any spread of covid-19.. we waited until my daughter of 5 went and asked if we were in the right room, 5 minutes later we were called into another room where the nurse did 1. Checking/Monitoring of Pulse , 2. My daughters body weight taken, 3. My High-Blood Pressure checked, 4. Temperature for both of us taken as well. (The Nurse made a comment to her fellow nurse about the receptionist wondering why she didnt say anything to them and she said, I quote she was in a hurry to knock-off I guess)Now into the doctors room we were sent and waited we did. Doctor strolls in, apologises as she was not aware that there were patients waiting as she was not updated.... she then asks us whats wrong, we explain, she looks at my daughter and mentions she looks better than I do, which is indeed a fact. Anyway I explain what I am struggling with (i.e from Monday evening started having a sore throat, woke up Tuesday with a headache, runny nose, sore throat, painful cough and body aches), Wednesday/Thursday (Today), not much of a terrible headache, but sore throat, runny nose, painful cough. No examination done by the doctor, asks if I want to do a covid-19 test (of course I do, its 2021 and I have flu-like symptoms, I mean.... hello?).Anyway, goes out the doctor, comes back +-5mins later, gives us two prescriptions and a lancet form to take to lancet tomorrow morning. No examinations/checks done by the doctor, you know the usual checks done by doctors, no medication provided other than the prescriptions even though you can tell its 18:30 and Dischem Pharmacy near by is closed..but maybe thats ok, I am not a doctor after all, just a patient.Nonetheless, no feedback was given as well on the checks done by the Nurse on myself and my daughter.. I mean is my high blood ok or not?, Is our temperature ok or not? Is my daughters body weight good/bad?1. Give your staff name tags so we can report them, they seem to get away with it since they know a Good day, thanks for your response is the Netcare response.2. Take them to customer service training so they can really uphold Netcares Values3. Some professionalism across the board (I admit, for this one a few bad apples sort of makes them rotten, the name tags will help as we will).4. The time spent there, +- 1hour and 40minutes is not an issue, I dont mind waiting > 2hours as long as we are not forgotten in some room (twice).5. Half-hearted Kudos to the two Nurses who were taking our temperatures etc, as mentioned above (again name tags would help so we can give a compliment where its due).. or maybe it was their duty and not the doctors to provide us with Feedback on the tests, again I am no medical employee so I dont know.

Went to Intercare for shortness of breath, Dr Maponyane said that I was having panic attacks and that I needed to see a therapist, without even checking my vitals, after insisting that she examine me she said that her diagnosis remained unchanged. After getting a 2nd opinion from another Doctor turns out it was Asthma and not panic attacks.

Dr Maponyane declared my pregnancy a miscarriage and went as far as writing me a letter to get cleaned at a hospital while my unborn baby was still alive and my pregnancy was fine. Thanks to a second opinion I did not go ahead with the procedure that wouldve seen me kill my baby.

I would not recommend visiting this facility. I was seen by Dr. Maponyane on the 28th of May. The nurse took my vitals. Once the doctor called me, she did not do any routine checks on me. Only by the sound of my voice did she say I have Laryngitis. Not once did she check my lungs, ears or throat. (Routine?) She did not ask if I required a letter. It seems as if she wanted me out the door asap. They will never see me again!

This place is terrible, theres a lady Denice who is the rudest receptionist on this Earth. When you pay their bill they insist you havent and claim to hand you over and whats worst is they wont see you in case of emergencies despite having paid and due to their incompetent people like Denice!!!Wouldnt suggest anyone here. They should fire Denice and get some competent accounts staff.
