We are super happy with the design and installation of our pool. It was a challenge to get the pool through the building and installed. But it was a perfect fit for the hole it had to go into. Their workmanship was amazing to say the least! Their advise on what pump system we should use was also correct and all is working wonderfully. I would highly recommend Horizon Pools.

We had such a positive experience with Horizon Pools. Starting with Shaun Jackson, who sold us the pool, to Michelle who handles Admin, Mohammed, the very experienced contractor (second generation pool installer) and his excellent team. They removed our old fibreglass pool so carefully that it came out intact and I sold it on Gumtree! Their price was higher than a competitor but the quality of the pool was much better (we went to the other manufacturers factory and compared it with the Horizon pool wall sample). They adapted an existing pool shape to make it narrower for our site and it was perfect. We were happy with the Cemstone coping but I did reject some of the slabs before they were installed as they were not perfect. We are so thrilled to recommend Horizon Pools.

2 distinct shades and delamination after a few months of installation.Asked many times for them to correct the pool fibreglass lining and as you can see one half is much lighter than the other half, plus delamination. The owner is John Jager, he offered to fix it for cash, clearly not wishing to pay VAT or tax on his error. I have lodged a complaint with the NSPI.Do not use this company.

I shouldve done this along time ago but now, 4 years later Im still finding problems with my pool. So I felt the need to warn others. It initially started well. We had a meeting to discuss all the trim, paving and pump options. Having had a number of pools built in the past, I knew what I wanted, especially when it came to the pump. We also wanted specific paving to match our current paving and passed the suppliers details on to them. Initially things went well and the shell was in within a few days. I thought great! But then nothing for almost 6 weeks, despite numerous calls and emails. You see, in terms of their contract, 90% of payment is due once the shell is in so they had most of their money after very little work. Eventually they came back to install the pump. Then another delay with the paving. When I enquired they said they couldnt get hold of the paving I wanted. I phoned the supplier myself and within a few minutes had arranged it for them. Then the installation. I swear they used somebody that had never paved before as it was uneven with numerous sharp edges. It was horrendous! They needed to come back and redo it. Eventually everything was done. However, after about a week I noticed that instead of the agreed pump, they had installed a really poor quality cheap one, so once again they had to come back to replace it. Now I have had the pool 4 years. I have probably had to have maintenance companies out on at least a half dozen times to repair leaky pipes, something I have never had before. Also, they used cement and not silicone to seal between the paving and pool (as was done with all my previous pools) and now its breaking off and falling into the pool. And most recently the latest revelation. I had a salt water chlorinator installed along with heating panels on my roof at the time of installation. Ive struggled with the chlorinator and eventually given up and now use chlorine floaters as my chlorine levels are always non-existent and my pool kept going green. Ive just realsed that the valve to divert water to the panels to heat the pool is before the chlorinator and so when water is going onto the roof for heating it isnt going to the chlorinator and hence no chlorine! Having had 4 pools installed over the years at various houses (and some werent great either) this is far and away the worst of the lot. I would strongly recommend against using Horizon Pools to install your pool!

We had subsidence on our marbelite pool from poor workmanship with another pool company. John from Horizon Pools came in and fixed the underlying subsidence issue, re-did the pool in glass fibre and re-did the tiling which was also damaged. It is now 5 years later and the pool looks like it was re-done yesterday, thank you again John for your professional work!! Brett, Fish Hoek

Altogether a terrible experience - poor supervision resulting in a far from satisfactory job!!! Result - just had to have our pool re-done one year later - by another company for sure!!
