Hands down the best steak my Husband and I ever had! The flavour,...the perfect way it was cooked...Do yall know how many times with other restaurants wed ask for Medium rare and get a steak that is either well done or tastes as if they just cut a chunk off the cow and placed it straight on our plates? NV80 is perfection.Besides the food, the ambience is wonderful for both a date night or a dinner with friends. Will definitely be returning.

Had dinner with some friends, the service was abit slow, but the food was amazing especially the Norwegian Salmon and the chocolate fondant, it was the hi light of the evening.

I was invited to NV-80 for my Bday and was not disappointed. Service was good and professional. The place itself is nice with subdued lights. Food wise, I started with the Sautéed Prawns, even if the portion was a bit small (3 prawns), it was very tasty. The Chenin blanc cream sauce was super nice (even if a little bit to salty to my taste). Then I order the beaf fillet with fries. Very well cooked and tender. The crème brûlée is also a good choice as dessert 😋. Regarding the wine we ordered a bottle Rijks Shiraz (2013) suggested by the owner. I was not disappointed at all. Owner of the place did his best to make sure we had a great evening, and it worked. I recommend this restaurant.

First of all, this restaurant is beautiful! So chic and great ambiance. We went with a large party of 10 and we all loved our food and experience here. We had such a great time. Service was wonderful and they had a 2 or 3 course meal option which was very affordable and totally worth it! The interior of the restaurant is well put together. However, when the restaurant is packed, it feels like a large percent of the oxygen is depleted in the room as well as it becomes too noisy which makes it difficult to focus on the conversation happening at the table and this doesn’t feel good.The staff are friendly and the service provided is efficient.The meals, my goodness, they look mouth watering, and the taste, the taste makes the mouth water for more.NV-80 is renowned for their steaks and they do not disappoint.The desserts are mediocre. The chocolate fondant that I had, was so dry, that the one scoop of ice-cream wasn’t sufficient to moisten it.The restaurant isn’t halal. However, things like Armagnac ice-cream contains alcohol in the ice-cream, and therefore a request needs to be made for an alternative which is available at the restaurant.There is a dedicated smokers section on the balcony, as a non-smoker I’ve appreciated this space. The fresh air and the hum of the city, it was most welcomed.The price range is average - expensive.

One of our Favourite places to eat steak at. The mash potoes and mushroom sauce and butter sauce are delicious not forgetting the amazing salad which we went back for. Always a great place to eat at.

Arrived on time and told to wait while they cleaned the table.Starters was calamari and it was super amazing .Mains was 500g Rib eye.I cannot explain to you the taste and how it melted in my mouth.I can see why they say you must book . The place was packed full but the food came out on time.Thank you to the waiter and management I will return with friends.

First of all, we couldn’t even tell that we were on the second story inside of a mall!I have had fillet at arguably the best steakhouses around! I’ve had A5 Kobe and Wagyu. NV-80’s filet is comparable!! AMAZING food! The Trinchado was out of this world! And for dessert….the crème brûlée finished the meal perfectly!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Great ambience, food quality is excellent and consistent. Prices are also quite reasonable for the quality of the meals. Portion sizes are very good as well

I had a baby kingklip but yor.... it was amazing soft cooked well had no problems wit the food,price is expensive though but its worth it. Toilet is a problem you have 2 walk down stairs, which I hate. The staff are very friendly the place is neat & tidy.... made a video of the whole place, but unfortunately cant post....

From the time you enter the restuarant ,you feel the excitement of whats to come. The food is Devine, succulent and juicy ,the waiters are so friendly and attentive ,and the restaurant is perfectly situated with beautiful views of the mountain as well as balcony access .

The vibe is buzzing. Seafood fantastic! Absolutely divine flavours! Had starter prawns and mains was teriyaki salmon which melted in my mouth. Floor manager very attentive to detail. Definitely one of my favorite places to dine.

Wow. The food is simply delicious. Calamari tubes were fresh with a great sauce. The Springbok was melt in the mouth perfectly cooked heaven on a plate. Matched with good attentive service, tasty cocktail and a good wine list makes this place hard to fault. You have to ignore the fact the entry is in a shopping centre - once inside you’d have no idea. I’ll be back :)

Amazing restaurant. Very Covid conscious, absolutely incredible food! They one of the few restaurants that stock lobster fresh. They unfortunately do not allow corkage. So you cant bring your own wine.

Solid steak house. I have no complaints I. Really. Enjoyed my meal. I had oysters for a starter which was fresh and clean. For mains I had the special which was a surf and turf perfectly done with great sides. Derrert was the fondant which was really good. I cant say its a special experience but Im really happy with my experience.

This restaurant never disappoints. The food is top notch and the service has been excellent on all the occasions that I have eaten there. Their Salmon Teriyaki is my favorite and the creme brulee is delicious!

Meals are prepared very well and served quite quickly even though the place is busy. Nice outside deck to catch some sun while having a smoke.

Went here with my fiancé during our stay in Camps Bay over Christmas & NY. Booze ban didn’t stop us enjoying the steak immensely. Food and staff we found to be extremely good. We found the steak to be better than Hussar Grill

Best steak Ive ever had in my life. T-bone is essential!

This is the place to get a good steak. The roasted vegetables were just right. Rawness taken out with a good bite. The vegetable risotto and onion rings were delicious too. Their steaks are beefy but a little under seasoned for my liking however nothing a bit of salt cant fix.Their sauces are awesome. Rich and creamy. Foods comes out hot and fast. And it was a good experience.

Lovely setting with lovely service. My wife and I have visited NV-80 twice, and seem to have been unlucky twice, having received steaks not cooked to our desired doneness on both occasions. Having ordered medium and medium rare, on both occasions we received steaks that were medium rare (more towards the rare side) and rare (borderline blue). This was disappointing, as the Salmon and Fillet starters, as well as the crème brulé were wonderful. 3 stars for the steaks, 5 stars for everything else.

Place is situated upstairs in a small shoping complex.Service was prompt & waitrons were constantly clearing the table & always efficient. My husband & I only had starters, me a mussels in creamy white wine sauce & him prawns with a pesto dressing. The bread served as we sat down was quite filling. Place is very cosy & beautifully decorated for a lovely romantic ambiance or even a group booking.

.....……..After been in Lock-down indoors for over 120 days plus because of the Covid-19 Pandemic and now with the levels raised we just had to attempt to get out for a bit. With my wife’s birthday due in August we found out that NV-80 a restaurant we favour and has a good repute from our past experience, we decided to make a reservation for a birthday-lunch. On the day of our arrival at the intriguing wooden-door with the NV 80 on the opposite wall in gold we first noticed that the poster pasted on the door in blue indicating that they were well prepared to combat the spread of the corona-virus. “NO MASK” No entree. The first thing you encounter when you enter is the Sanitizer-Spray Bottle and then the host will take each patrons temperature, show that they comply to and with COVID-Management as per government regulations, directing your attention to this fact where each guest must scan the Bar-Code into their cell-phone and fill out their details as this is administered by “dineplan”. After as this is behind your back you can choose your seating. It was rather sad to note that all the Wines were in jail as in locked-up behind steel mashed netting gates. The beautiful large impressive bar where the Draught-Taps stood like ornaments because they were bone-dry more like Drought-Taps! But didn’t dampen our spirits as they still had sparkling-water and juices to toast with. The restaurant floor-space is massive they even have loads of tables with seating on the “L” shaped outside balcony with the one section direct-lii under the “Lions Head” peak which today was awesome-lii surrounded by a cloud. The decor is neat the wall at the bar is filled with some nice paintings and above the bar counter they have two wire-boats. The manager on floor-duty was very polite and friend-lii and so was our waitron. There is much to choose from on the menu. As they serve you fresh brown-bread with a nice pungent strong dip before you order we decided to skip the starter and go straight to the mains. My wife is a carnivore and ordered a 300g rump-steak and a side of chips. The rest of us were hook by the Calamari-Tubes in a light garlic-marinade and chips. The steak looked more like 500g and filled the plate it was excellent-lii done just as ordered and tender. The calamari was succulent and well flavoured they even threw in same baby-squid which added a niff-tii twist to the presentation and it was indeed delicious. The desert menu is short they list only 3 kinds to choose from 1. Chocolate Fondant / Armagnac-ice cream, 2. Creme Brulee / vanilla, hazelnut shortbread 3. Baked Cheesecake / white chocolate ganache. Seen that we had a birthday-girl here we requested that they serve us all three dessert on one platter and scribble “Happy Birthday” on the plate with chocolate lettering which the manager glad-lii obliged to and even glad-lii serve the dessert-platter and sang “happy birthday” to the birthday-girl, how cool and how awesome was that extra-act which only strengthens and solidifies of repute for the exquisite restaurant. They serve nice cappuccinos but the cups are way too small! We high-lii recommend this venue for any celebration

This was my first experience at NV-80. Loved the restaurant. Very spacious, friendly staff. The food was outstanding. A definite must try. Am sure visiting next time in Cape Town.

Went here for some Lobster; pleasant surprise, they serve it in a double portion! the steak was also excellent, and great service from the wait staff.

NV80 is a must visit when in Cape Town. Their steaks and ribeye are really really good. Always enjoy pairing it with their creamy mash as the side. Instead of just the bread that is served a little while after you are seated, you can request the warm garlic roll at an extra fee, its warm buttery and garlic goodness. They are halaal friendly.

This place is on another level. Really amazing food, impeccable service and beautiful decor. We had the Prawn soup which was fantastic. Salmon for mains and a trio of desserts for a birthday. The vibe is great. Definitely on the higher end of the usual spend on a night out, but it’s totally worth it. Attention to detail! These guys have it all
