What an incredible first experience for me.Have heard so much about The Pirates ☠ Restaurant and was not disappointed or let down in any way. Nest burgers in town. The chicken from the chicken salad was flame grilled with a delicious basting sauce.The manager was friendly, waitress was very helpful, food was quick, vegetables was fresh and the priced well. Will definitely be coming back again.I have found my new favorite restaurant.Keep up the great service and dont change a thing!

We havent been to Pirates in years and thanks to recent great reviews, we decided to have our steak lunch there yesterday. The steaks were juicy and tender and the snails in garlic were divine. A fantastic day out. Well def be back. Weve got to taste the rest of the menu. Excellent all round.Thank you Pirates!

Food is always great. Love their rump bites, pizza and ribs. All staff are always amazing. Its a place that you can always rely on to get what you want.

I recently noticed your new special thats on offer. 10% discount on your dinner when you present your vax card. And for this reason I give you one star for been complicit in spreading propaganda.Firstly, a persons medical history is private and has nothing to do with you!Secondly, you discriminating against your clients for their personal choices and this is unconstitutional.Thirdly, you are promoting to take an experimental injection, and to participate in a clinical trial. This is cohesion and could lead to legal action against your business.Your business has no right meddling in medical trials!We all stood up for your business when you couldnt trade, now you turning your backs on us! Sorry, but we can not support businesses who have sold their souls for an agenda.

Dining out nowadays is a rare occurrence and boy am I glad we went to Pirates.Food is delicious, filling and top quality. I had a ribs & chicken combo, the chicken strips werent too bad but not my favorite, that ribs though...By far the best Ive had in a long, long time. Forget the knife and fork, let that inner child out, and enjoy the succulent meat falling from the bone into your mouth.See? Already craving for more. Definitely a winner meal with half veg & chip for variety in sides.Ps. Please, from one coffee lover to another, get a captains coffee! I shall return a million times for my Captains Coffee.

I commiserate with any restaurant being forced to adhere to the Plandemic rules - but seriously?? Add this to places to avoid due to Discrimination. Sadly theyve bought into the lies being told.

It was the best meal I have ever had. I always tell people if the want good food they should go to pirates in Plumstead. 100% good food, 100%large portions of the food 100%good service, 100%good live entertainment. I will surly be back again maybe for a light meal cause the portions is to much for me😂🙈

Always a local favorite.. If its not for the food, then you might go there for the karaoke or the bar.. Most people there know the locals and they will welcome you in with open arms.

If youre a nonsmoker it is a bit stuffy but cool local space to hang out with friends or grab a quick coffee/beer. Their pricing is reasonable and they have a varied menu for most pallets as far as bar food/snacks go...the restaurant when operational is very cozy. They comply and follow covid-19 protocols.

Great place to have a good time with friends and family. The staff are all extremely friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is 100% unique. The variety on the menu is also great, even for the most picky eater. 10/10 will go again

This place makes some of the best steaks I’ve had. Their prices range from R140-R220 for around 200-450grams. Their service is friendly and professional. We also had live music on a Friday evening which made our night even more enjoyable. However, I do think it is a bit too loud, maybe we could have asked to be seated a bit further away. It does take a bit of shouting to chat to someone next to you.Steaks, burgers and ribs are all awesome !

Pirates is delightfully dark and atmospheric. For great food and a proper pub vibe, youve come to the right place. Not one for the kiddies, there are slot machines upstairs and a friendly camaraderie between the regulars.I recommend the platter for small groups. Feeds 4 very comfortably. The only drawbacks are that its a little smokey, and not always 100% spotless, but thats very much in keeping with a pub.

Absolutely amazing place. The best steakhouse in Cape Town for sure. Customer service was lovely and the entertainment was great. Good for Karaoke and a family get together.

First visit to the restaurant and they have good service, big portions and a nice vibe. I just felt that the walkways in the restaurant itself were very narrow and our food did take some time to come out. All in all a good experience and I will definitely be back.

Great food, huge portions and amazing service. Its very old school though so prepare yourself a trip to the late 80s/early 90s. After dinner time it becomes a great drinking spot (and you can still eat).

Terrible experience at this pub. Image 1 shows my burger with the garnish on top which is how it was when I opened the box. Image 2 is a cheddarmelt burger and i clearly asked for a peppermelt burger. Disappointing. Paid so much for this service.

Just called today 9 Dec to cancel a reservation for midday 11 Dec and the girl on the phone was extremely rude and unprofessional and just through the phone down on me.. Very classy, hopefully this gets taken further and she gets to go for a customer service course one day.

As a member of pirates, been here a couple of times.ThE FOOD IS TOP NOTCH, deserves 10/10.Knocked off half a star for average service the few times ive been at this restaurant.And knocked off another half a star for the afternoon this restaurant expects us to walk through a smoking section to get to the restaurant side.Im sure this practice can be stopped with immediate effect as u do have an entrance through the restaurant itself which is locked up in the afternoon. It simply doesnt make sense.
