I have used Breathecoat at various projects (as a contractor), and have been very happy with the service, as well as the product end result. (Zomerlust Guest House Paarl, and Rupert and Rothschild Vignerons in Simondium)

I have painted five houses with Breathecoat. Regardless of the advice of the paint consultant in Johannesburg DO NOT try and use it as an interior paint ! We had to repaint the entire interior a week after using breathecoat in side the house. Most regrettably Breathecoat cannot keep its colour (exterior) consistent to a reasonable degree. Orders have to come from Cape Town which always takes some time (so good planning is necessary)and when it arrives the colours differ drastically. I ended up with three very drastically different shades of green on the boundary walls on one property. The response was simply óh dear, they must have mixed ti wrong. Calling the Manager of Breathcoat to discuss, regrettably did not help. We had painted another property in Breathecoat at the same time and when we needed to paint some of the walls after some renovations, we ordered the same paint once again to at least match the existing relatively newly painted walls. The colour once again differed so drastically chanign the entire colour of the exterior that we now have a shade of Mink on the wall compared to the existing colour. The main reason for us to have used Breathe coat is its properties where it is damp. I dont believe it has been worth our while in what the prodcut perports to do, cost, time and final product. Whilst the agent is quick to place the order and assist in the quantities needed, there is little assistance when it came to the final effect of what is delivered, the colour changes and the damp control properties. We naturally accept colour might vary to some extent and its not an exact science,but the very drastic differences in the paint with no offer to help rectify it has been so disappointing. We were the best marketing agents for this product initially, but I am really so disappointed and angry for this expensive mistake once again.
