I had an incredible experience at Marie Stopes Cape Town. The online booking system was easy to use and so convenient, they answered all my questions and were upfront with pricing. However, when arriving at the centre I had to pay an additional consult fee as it was my first time there which wasnt communicated with me online.The waiting area was clean, welcoming and equipped with friendly staff. The waiting time was a mere 15 minutes.I was then looked after by Fawziah, who was kind enough to explain the IUD insertion procedure to me and talk me through every part of the process. Adding to this, I felt welcomed into the room and comfortable enough to sit for a short while after the procedure was complete to allow for my body to adjust to a new device. In no way did I feel rushed out of the room to make way for the next patient, which is so often the case with doctors.Fawziah is so knowledgable when it comes to female health and as a result sparked an insightful and interesting conversation on the topic. As women, we so often take a backseat when our reproductive and overall health is in question. It was refreshing to talk to a medical professional who not only had my best interests at heart but was open to hearing my past experiences with the Mirena and why I wanted to switch to the copper IUD. Fawziah offered great advice and guidance on the subject.I was blown away by the care taken to ensure I was comfortable and happy.Thank you to Marie Stopes and the amazing team who work there.

Actual consultation was OK, but very impersonal. However, waiting for results has taken more than 2 weeks and have still received nothing. Calling them doesnt help, they just put you onto the next person. So if youre expecting to get results back, dont bother. Disappointing.

I was not entirely happy with my experience. I have booked a full woman wellness consult however the nurse just took the samples and did not engage with me at all. I have brought up my concerns however she was reluctant to communicate and she barely mumbled something back. I left the clinic feeling confused and frustrated. In addition to that the results came in late and only via phone call. I have not received any email or written proof of my results. Very disappointing.

Excellent advice treatment and service. Everyone from the call center agents, to the FOH staff and especially Rickus (who treated me) were friendly, professional and extremely helpful. Would give them 10 stars if I could.

Contrary to other reviews, I had an amazing experience here. I showed up early to fill out paperwork, and I was already being assisted before my scheduled appointment time. Regrettably I do not remember her name, but the woman who helped me did everything in her power to help me leave with my problem sorted. She initially thought I may have to visit an OBGYN, but after multiple tries, she was able to personally assist me. This was a refreshing experience after struggling for hours to be seen by other clinics.

The nurse was rude, i wont be going there again.
