I really like this place. It has a lot of different foods to try. On a Thursday its more chilled but on a Friday and Saturday its very busy with a lot of younger people in it. Excellent for takeout or a place to meet up with friends and family.

First time visiting this market and it was such a pleasant surprise! The vendors especially the ones selling food & cake etc. is super friendly & eagerly offered samples of their yummy goods. Will definitely be a regular at Blue Bird in future.

The Japanese chicken and noodles store sells the best food. The ribs are also great. Sadly the fudge man has left after Covid but its still worth a visit. Quieter than a Thursday night than Friday...always place to sit. The bar has a nice selection of beers.

It gave me that feeling of unity and that I was in a different environment, because the first moment we entered was that the people was so friendly and the people at their sections was so tasting friendly too, as to how they put their customers first. Very nice and all of the food products was made on site just perfect.

This is a great place to meet friends, celebrate life and buy treats. There is an awesome vibe with delicious food items and some good quality crafts. Craft beers, food for all tastes and guilt-free desserts (or naughty). It can get a bit crowded and busy on Fridays but much quieter on Thursdays. I definitely recommend it.

They just opened a little restaurant that’s open every day. Very cool and relaxed. The owner himself is serving and the staff is very friendly. The food is simple but very delicious.

Nice market, that displays some of the village vibe located in Muizenberg. The stalls have a variety of various types of foods, mainly catering to the lentil Oakies! There is a nice bar that has a wide selection of craft beers. There is a great kiddy section that has a well equipped jungle gym.Nobody wears masks so if that is a concern stay away- oh and if dogs bug you then the blue bird market is not the place for you. 4 legged creatures roaming around.Try the japenese fried chicken or the rib combo.

Absolutely wonderful, eclectic mix of food and shopping - all in a beautiful barn-like setting. Theres also a very friendly, community vibe. While youre browsing youll definitely strike up a conversation with one of the vendors! This venue is the perfect place to spend an evening in Muizenberg for food, drink, and gift shopping. Nice outside area for fresh air/smoke/ those a bit more worried about ventilation for COVID (though the area is already well ventilated). Thanks!

An amazing venue with great food and the ambience really energises those who are visiting. Definitely a must visit for those who have not yet been. The food stall owners and those selling vintage and pre loved garments and memorabilia, young and old, adds to the experience. The fairy lights helps to create the experience. Chilled, good music, friendly people, my friend from Germany said good beer, I say awesome food! A lot to choose from. Its good for families, they is a kids playing area with a person to watch them. It a great place to meet new people and enjoy great music. All in all a place to be on Friday night, food area closes at 22:00 but you can still hang around.

Quaint market with a fair variety of good food options. Meals and fresh produce is available. Dietary options range from vegan to meat products. The kids facilities are a nice touch, although space can be limited. The gin bar round the back is well stocked and interesting. Finding parking can be challenging.

I went here while on holiday in the area, we went as a family. Its quite nice. Lots of different, delicious food options. Its mostly food stalls, but there are a few item stalls that sell really nice goodies. Theres quite a few different options with beer, wine and coffees.Its quite a nice outing. It has a great atmosphere and showcases locally made goods. Definitely a place to go to if you are in the area on a Friday night.It can feel a bit crammed though and there isnt really enough seating place for everyone, especially if you go as a group of people.The area also feels safe and everyone parks in the street along the road, but there are car guards to look after your car.

Great vibe, wide variety of good food & drink, jewelry, clothes & excellent secondhand bookstore. For all ages.

Visited the Food market tonight, what a great experience. Vibey atmosphere with an array of delectable delights.I opted for some Edos ( Its not a wrap....its an Edo. Specially prepared by Jason... I had the Seared Rump Edo, and my partner had the Grilled Chicken Edo. Both delicious and very filling. Highly recommended.I also had some delicious healthy Kumbutcha tea from the Kumbutcha tea stand.

My favourite market. It has so much variety and everyone is always in a good mood when they go there. My favourite vendor at the moment is Blue Marlin sushi. They make fantastic poke bowls and people constantly stop to ask what Im eating. You have to get there early though to get a place to sit down. Or you can get your food to enjoy at home but make sure to get some brownies along with it.

Because I really like the pizza

I love the Bluebird Garage market on a Friday night. Its a great combination of food and drinks, clothing, books and jewellery stores. Family friendly with a play area for kids and also a local hangout for young people looking to enjoy an after work drink. Expect to find Muizenberg locals and people from around Cape Town who come down for the market every week.

This is my go to place on a Friday evening when I’m in need of delicious vegan food. Tamlyn’s vegan stall offers wholesome food you’ll want more of! Of course there’s loads of other options that cater for all tastes. I like this market because it feels cosy and sociable. It’s particularly lovely at night with all the pretty lights.

The market here on a Saturday is so nice. They just have a problem with parking if you go to late. I go there every time we are in Cape town. Different foods, I have tried all of them. There is a little chocolate shop on the side. This is good chocolate.

Great place to buy fresh breads, fresh or frozen berries and baked goods. Theres a kosher, halal, vegan and vegetarian friendly options. Its dog friendly And kid friendly (has a playpen station for the little ones close to the seating areas.

A great variety of really delicious food ranging from snacks, meat, veg, vegan, cooked, raw, curries, pizza, wraps, etc. Something for everyone! Up beat ambience with charming fairy lights. Smoking section. Play area for kids (the facilitators might want to be a bit more on the ball though).All in all, very worth while! Great place to go on a first date or with friends or family or even colleagues.

Parking is hard to find should you arrive after 6pm, and the same with seating. Always a vibrant experience, best shared with friends. Try to come early for the least crowded enjoyment.
