I visited your store on Friday, I absolutely loved my experience viewing your range of items from shoes to bags, also sat around watching the lady prepare belts for a street vendor. Anele was fantastic helping me pick out my tools to start-up. Ill be working on my hand stitching and surely be back even if it is for inspiration. This store has a great energy.

Let me start to say I love their slippers and the quality is great.However the service is terrible 😔 be ready to wait 6 weeks for a pair of slippers even though it was communicated at the start it will take less time. We bought from them twice and unfortunately both times were very unpleasant experiences.

Pathetic service! It is a disgrace that this business is still open. When phoned, I was told to send e-mail. No one replies to email. Phoned again, was told to use codes on website. There is no codes on website. Got my husband to phone, he was given a name of a lady he has to speak to. This lady does not even work there anymore.Im forced to click a star in order for my review to be posted. I otherwise would not have clicked on a star.

Good quality stuff, their products are good but the security eoman at the gate is just terrible. She has no maners, no ways of speaking to clients, very rude and disrespectful to clients. I watched her coumtless time being disrespectful to people and myself, very unprofessional. I will strongly recommend she get moved from the doors. The person at the doors should be more welcoming.

When I just started leather crafting ..I went there and found the staff to be very helpful except they got me to buy very unnecessary and expensive tools.Their range of hardware is geared towards the lower end and when challenged on their exorbitant prices they could only default to the poor exchange rate yet most items are from China. Be aware that they are supposed to be Tandy agents but carry very few items of that brand. I finally resorted to buying directly from USA companies and it turned out much cheaper.

Closed today, 25 Sep. Unbelievable. Havent had enough holidays this year? Good luck...

Stunning leather products. Take your time while wondering through the store so that you can discover and appreciate the crafted belts, bags, shoes and more. So many items that can be customized to suit your taste and needs, and while you wait! (Within reason). There is a parking area close by for convenience

Quirky leather crafts store that been going since 1867. In some places its like stepping back a century but they obviously fill a niche. Done bargains. We wanted a specific item we were told we could get there... And we did.

Amazing products, great range but the service is sometimes confusing. At times you manage to find someone really attentive whos really helpful and at other times, you have to run after someone you asked for help just to realise they forgot and is now helping someone else.

Staff was very friendly also they very knowledgeable about the company and products they work with. I really appreciated and enjoyed my time there. I also bought a hide there for very cheap with several other accessories good price loved it.

Leather store that offers a range of services and products (apart from leather and shoe making materials) - including great sheepskin slippers, bags, craft materials and books, laser cutting, applying of studs and eyelets.Sadly their supplies of hardware for crafters and makers - buckles, clips, D rings etc have dwindled, and the limited range of findings, etc are sold only in packs of large qty. Service is always friendly and knowledgeable.

Very bad service. Regardless of the fact that they were dealing with level 3 lockdown, we where willing to spend money, but walked out not buying anything because of the negative attitude and unwillingness to help.

The quality of their products are great and there is a big variety of products as well. Overall the store is quite big, I came here for some shoe rubber and the ladies there were patient with me and very friendly, though when I went to one of the other sections I heard one of the staff make a comment about me which I did not like.

Very poor with digital communication. Don’t mind their people but wow they are slow. Unfortunate that they fall into the same bracket as so many other Capetonian merchants who can’t respond promptly to customer requests. It’s like drawing blood from a stone. I had to follow up with them each time something needed to be followed up. They didn’t do the hard yards. Poor customer service.Having said that, their products are good and I will likely buy from them again. But this is only because there aren’t any other merchants who stock the same products as readily. So it’s not really a compliment. Just the worse of two evils. Please improve your customer service Woodheads.

For leatherworkers and belt makers, an excellent resource.In fact i am not aware of any other leather and leather tool supplier in the city.I have been purchasing leather, tools, buckles, rivets, stains, needles and thread from this store since the early 1980s.Pretty much the go to store for leather working.

Woodheads is the place to go for your leather needs. They sell a huge variety of hides and leathers and anything else you may need for your leather project. The owner showed us a book he wrote full of practical and simple leather projects to get one started.

The place to shop if you require leather tools and assessories. You can have your own belts made up. A large selection of leather skins and if you are daring, you can buy off-cuts and do your own thing.

I went in with a hat that needed a trim stitched on with a buckle. Although the man at the back by the leather/ buckle section could not help me, he referred me to a place that could. Very helpful and informative.

Come here for all your leatherworking needs. The staff are also helpful. There is a lot of scrap leather you can pick up for a bargain if you have smaller projects that don’t need a lot of material.
