After several failures by other parties, Back Pen successfully prepared and completed documentation for our SA Visas. The process was relatively simple and straightforward compared to previous attempts without the need for long term information dating back some 50 years !!! I had an extremely disappointing experience with Black Pen immigration services. I had overstayed my visa in SA and was advised to voluntarily leave the country and be declared an undesirable with a 5 year ban. Having been extremely attentive in securing my business, once I had paid the fees their level of service changed completely; extremely slow reply to emails, multiple requests for replies and generally very uncaring and inattentive. Unfortunately my application for appeal was caught up during the early days of the covid-19 lock down (mid march 2020) and finally my appeal was denied by DHA. When i decided to re-appeal with another law firm, they requested the case file that Blackpen had submitted on my behalf and were totally shocked at how weak and un-thorough a case they had put forward for me and were not surprised that my appeal was denied. I can only wish that I had read a review to warn me against such service before I had decided to enlist them so that is why I have chosen to share my experience.

I came across this firm from a group on Facebook. I must say, in comparison to all the firms I have had contact and dealt with, this was by far the most professional. David was incredibly friendly and helpful, and did not change his tune once I had paid for the required service - which is what happens with a lot of other agents. Save your time and money and dont go for a visa consultation there! The advice provided during the consultation and in subsequent emails was very different. The consultant had quite an attitude when I pointed it out and shared my honest feedback with her via email, making it look like it was me and my husband who BOTH misunderstood her. They also dont make you feel like a valuable client, theres no follow-up, you have to keep chasing for every response. Overall, after wasting a week of my time waiting for emails and hoping for some clarity, I had to give up and go to a different firm where we were treated seriously and our new consultant took action on our case immediately. Very disappointing experience!Update: And in response to my review, the company is providing untruthful information saying that they sent me 50 (!) emails. It was approx. 5, because the consultant withdrew from what she had said during the consultation and started providing different information through emails, which was obviously confusing.
