Todays ice cream taste wasnt the norm, less cream and flavour, no bits of flavour swirled in between, I dont know what to make of it. The last few times I came here it was like nothing I have ever tasted before, amazing ice cream, it used to be my favourite little place, like a hidden gem, now its just hidden flavour. I usually order pistachio and hazelnut, or mango, not impressed today. A wasted trip. You guys used to rock, whats happening. I know you can do it again..I will be going back as the owners were kind enough to respond. Thank you ice Cafe

Never a disappointment! The flavors change regularly but I have never had a bad experience! Deliciously creamy. Service is always helpful and friendly.

They have a very good selection of ice cream flavours and even some for vegans. Whether you want something classic or somewhat different i.e. marmalade flavour they have it. Decently priced too.

Delicious ice cream for an affordable price. I recommend the Turkish delight ice cream if you like that as a flavour, its so good and has little chocolate chips in it! R24.50 for a scoop or can do a half half of 2 different flavours. There are so many different flavours to choose from its a fantastic stop off if youre in Kalk Bay.

The queue moves quickly, the staff works well to serve the customers but there is not a lot of space in the store. There could be more seating provided and there should be an option to do toppings on the ice-cream. However, the flavours are great and diverse.

One of the most popular ice-cream stores in Cape Town. Whether you are going to Kalk Bay, St James or passing by this is a must stop. Usually have 10 or 12 flavors to choose from at any time. Store can be rather full when busy but there are benches outside or just enjoy your ice-cream on the move while exploring the numerous shops, restaurants or street performers.

Yes you get big scoops but compared to other ice cream places we have been to this is only mid-level ice cream in terms of options, flavor and presentation.

Whenever I pass through Kalkbay I think Ice café! I love this shop. And I love ice-cream especially this great tasting. There are so many flavours to choose from and if you buy the family box of 6 scoops, it works out the cheapest per scoop.

Great tasting ice-cream but could have more reasonably priced. Unfortunately, most of Kalkbay is priced for tourists.

Lovely gelateria with a big variety of Italian style ice cream and sorbets. Also reasonably priced. It is situated on the main road in Kalk Bay so parking can be a bit of a problem over weekends.
