We were being plagued by ants and nothing we did seemed to help. We called Rentokil Initial in and they were very effective. We had a first call where the technician performed the first sweep, which resulted in a huge number of dead ants. We had a second follow up a few weeks later.On both occasions the technician was prompt, polite and efficient.Highly recommended.

One of their employees reversed into my car driving a Rentokil branded vehicle. She dodges all attempts my insurer makes to contact her in an attempt to try and resolve my claim (nearly a year later). Informed the employer (Rentokil) and provided all relevant info and they have not assisted either.

Initial service and response is adequate until you pay upfront. We cannot confirm if they came around for the follow up service which we paid for upfront. No responses from the agent who serviced our complex- more interested in repeat service. Even our queries/complaints to the company are unanswered. We should have used another pest control company.

Rentokil killed my dog. After expressly asking them if their rat poison was harmful to dogs and their assuring me that it was not, I had to bury my 3 year old Dachshund on New Years day due to her ingesting rat poison that the Rentokil service man just threw loose into an area in our bathroom. They point blank LIED and were entirely negligent in how they used the poison and the result is that we lost our beloved Molly. I also had to spend thousands of Rand on antidote for the remaining dogs, in case they had also ingested some. The vet told us that these new safe rat poisons just take longer to kill the dog, so by the time you see symptoms it is already too late. The dog bleeds to death internally. Stay away from this company if you value your pets!

Called Rentokil to hear what they can offer; first agent - my question on how they spray my home- I was placed back in the queue? Maybe the person did not know? Second agent - person explain procedure which was all good; my concern was on impact on people in my house afterwards with poison residue on everything. I then asked for client references (which is pretty standard in services industry) to just to get a level of comfort on spraying my house. I had to explain why and the person said Rentokil does not provide references- then the person commented that I could be their competitor. Crazy! Why would Rentokil not go out of their way to ensure their client is happy with their procedures and land a client. Customer service model is poor. I will go somewhere else.

I signed up years ago through another service provider that was taken over by Rentokil. I did not sign any updated agreements since they took over more than two years ago, so according to my old contract is month to month. I use two services. The ons service is three times per year and other service monthly. My last service on the 3x per year was December 2019 and was due April 2020. The other service was last done March 2020. I have phoned without any success as no one answer on the number as stated on accounts received. I receive the accounts diligently, but no service? I have emailed them to cancel my services with effect end March 2020 and refund my April 2020 fees I have paid, as no services was received, different email addresses for months, no reply. In the last week suddenly I am receiving emails saying that they can offer 10% discount for inconvenience? I stated that I am not interested as it is contract breach, as there was no communication how they will work with Covid since end of March 2020, and being an essential service. Last response yesterday is I must give 3 months notice and must pay all accounts till August 2020 and they will take June into account as one month...hell no...

I called to get a quote for my 37sqm flat that I am renovating and received a quote that did not feel right as this was more than 3 other companies I enquired about. I hence questioned this and ensured the lady understood that this is a 37sqm bachelors and she replied in a very sarcastic remark This is the price my dear, goodbye. I find this very unprofessional. Good luck with new business!

I received absolutely appalling service from Rentokil Pest Control! Paid them in advance for a call-out (290310) as their terms dictate this, technician gets to our house and says he’s too big to get into our ceiling to remove a dead rodent and leaves, next day another technician comes and says the same thing, spends 5 minutes pondering around then leaves without doing anything and I mean this literally. I have been calling them for 4 days none of the agents are able to assist and have to put every call through to someone else unfortunately the call is either cut or no one answers the call, some agents take your details and promise to get a manager to return your call which never happens, all the while our home is uninhabitable because of the horrible smell.I wish I had done some research beforehand as it seems I am not the only one that has had this experience, Hellopeter is littered with exactly the same ratings as is the company’s Google account, a marketing consultant replies to each query as if this is the first time its happened, why not work on your management team rather than have marketing clean up your poorly managed business!Do your homework people there are a lot of companies out there in this industry that have good ratings and offer great service Rentokil are not one of them!

I found my experience with Rentokil to be very pleasant.I booked a time,they arrived on time and where very professional.I called them for a follow up and once again I booked a time and they arrived on time.The technicians are all very knowledgeable in their field and conduct themselves in a very professional manner,I would definitely recommend and make use of their services again.

Went for Rentokil thinking it was a trusted company. Big mistake! It would take too much time to detail what went wrong but do yourself a favor and look elsewhere unless being treated like a number and being sent from pillar to post is something you enjoy :).

I received the worst service from rentokil Claremont. I booked them for bedbug fumigation (290834). I paid in advance and they gave me a date and time for fumigation. On that day the technician arrived on the premises and did not even call me to confirm his arrival. Luckily my flatmate was home. The technician came to the flat with no clue who the client is. He was allowed in where he inspected with his eyes and said there was no sign of bed bugs. He was reluctant to spray the room and my flatmate had to demand that he sprays the room because this job was paid for. He was very disorganized and seemed to have no clue of what he was there to do. He did not even explain that no one should enter the room after fumigation. He was very rude and he merely left after the job. After completion I still received no call from rentokil that the job was done. I was the one calling back n forth trying to figure out if the technician arrived or not. Worst of all I have used rentokil before and the service was nothing close to this. The technicians attitude was appalling. The call centre staff sent me in circles and did not return my calls when I was trying to figure out whether the technician arrived or not. I would not use their services again and would not recommend them to anyone. Shocking customer service!

Terribly disorganised.The finance department and rep assigned to me dont get back to me. They signed me up for the wrong package.The technicians also forget their materials either that they cant do their work, or they forget their tools and materials at our site.I have tried multiple times to contact them to get changes and they dont respond.
