Great stop when passing through Gordons Bay.Never got a chance to sit down for food, but they have good facilities and a nice outside eating area.There is also a play area for the kids.Plenty parking available.

Fantastic place to go with the kids and enjoy their amazing food. The pancakes and french toats is to die for. Affordable and comfortable. Fireplace inside for the w8nter days and they have patio heaters for outside. Big outdoor space and play area for kids.

Most amazing best kept secret place for a Pitstop... The food is phenomenal from breakfast to lunch... The menu is decadent and interesting. The food and service was fantastic... Even if the place was busy.... Prices are very reasonably priced for good quality servings. Such a lovely pit stop on a stunning scenic drive.

Great service, clean surroundings. Beautifully maintained and enough space to gave a conversation and not worry about people hearing or bothering you. Will definitely make it a weekly outing

Best service in South Africa, wonderful food, great garden, oh and did I mention the delicious shakes.We arrived literally as they were closing up. We had just walked the gorgeous Crystal Pools hike and were delayed a couple of hours after a congress of baboons took advantage of our all being in the pools for a dip and relived us of all our food. When we did finally arrive back at the parking area we were all starving. Pitstop had already closed for the evening but they opened up for us and served us a delicious meal complete with chocolate shakes for the kids.

If youre heading towards Kleinmond grab one, if not the, best burgers in the area. Retro decor makes for an intriguing and fun venue. Great roadhouse food with some interesting twisting s. Professional and friendly service makes for a great culinary experience.

Fabulous place. If you live in Cape Town or visit you must eat there, the food is excellent. Hosting an event is a special kind of extra. Sanet and her team blew us away with their attention to detail and great service. They even packed gifts for us and our guests.

Our first visit not pleasant. Lovely place but we felt totally ignored. Our order was taken and we waited forever for our food we asked three different waiters to follow up on our order and got very half hearted responses as if we were a nuisance. Other customers came in and got their food almost immediately. At no stage were we rude we just waited patiently. Not a nice experience

My partner and I decided to have lunch at the Grille shack at Pitstop lodge and we dont regret it. From the friendly welcome, to the delicious food and very relaxed atmosphere. We enjoyed our time.The only thing we were unhappy about was the dessert. We ordered the apple pie with ice-cream and could not eat it because it was not appetizing at all. We mentioned it to our waitress and without any hassle she apologized and accomodated us. Very impressed.Thank you for creating such a unique space to have a great meal with family. We will definitely be back😁👍

Just popped in for some coffee after a mini road trip. Nestled between the mountain and rooi-els coast, which makes it a perfect setting to enjoy my favorite beverage.

What a lovely place and great service. We were however very dissapointed with the burgers, it was a processed, shop bought patty instead of a home made one and that for R120. Was very unpleasant!

We had a family get together on Sunday afternoon. The service was excellent, the food delicious, from a Ceaser salad to Steak to Burgers with much more on offer. They allowed us to bring our own wine and bubbly with a reasonable corckage.Loved it, will be back many more times.

Was disappointed all round. Also Cant understand why no South African beers are served and only craft beer?

We regularly eat here. Today we were served by Melissa and the service was dreadful. Waited ages for order to be taken. Cold cappuccino inspire of asking for it to be hot. She clearly needs more training or another job!

I had the pleasure of visiting the Pitstop over the weekend and was thoroughly impressed! The food was hearty and delicious, the staff friendly and professional and the atmosphere warm and welcoming. The live music only further added to this vibrant gem. What an asset to the community! I will definitely be returning.

Such a cool place, really good food, the drinks were decent, service was good considering it was buzzing, the outside dining area is great, lots of space for the kids to play as well as a play area. I definite must for everyone if youre passing by, quite a gem for the area I must say. The next time Im this is if the western cape Ill most definitely be popping in again.

It has funky decor and a fun atmosphere for the whole family (dog friendly). The menu was interesting but I am not sure if they were still ironing out kinks but the food wasnt that impressive or tasty. Their drinks and desserts are quite tasty though just be wary of their Bloody Mary

Pleasant surroundings in the heart of Vergelegan Food quite tasty. Nice outside section. Just one thing....they should organize with the gardener with the noisy beefeater to do his work around the restaurant before it opens in the morning and not while we are trying to gave coffee or lunch. We could not hear each other. I eventually had to go over and ask him to please move away. Several patrons thanked me.

The restaurant was cool, love the outdoor seating...the vibe is really nice, staff friendly ...was not impressed with the starters...chicken wings were not the freshest and the smallest jalapeno poppers ever, and neither a fresh jalapeno... definately were not good starters... the burger however, was great and so was the fish and chips

The PitStop feels like a really lovely friend! The quirky, thought-through decor makes one feel at home right away and the servings just keep coming! Large portions served with proud smiles and a wide variety of local drinks. The beautiful drive along Clarence Drive just got even better! Highly Recommended!

Such a pleasant surprise to find this place. Delicious food. They slightly misjudged their food order as they ran out of chips. The place was packed.... Well worth the wait for a table. A little gem indeed.

Great place to eat opened this year between Gordons Bay and Hermanus. Good food, even better service. They accommodated our group of 8 adults and 4 dogs with kindness and great food.

Felt very unwelcome - staff showed us away when we were driving past and wanted to pop in for a coffee, reasoning that the restaurant was fully booked, even though large majority of the tables were open and we could easily have been accomodated. A rope at the reception area blocked us from entering the restaurant and we had to turn around. This type of establishment next to a busy road usually caters for motorists and one do not expect to have to make a booking just in order to grab a quick coffee - bad policy. Does not seem that the establishment is interested in having happy customers.

This place is a very exciting new venture on Clarence Drive! A great stop for something to eat while whale watching or taking a Sunday drive.
