My husband and I visited to celebrate our anniversary and my birthday. We were greeted warmly upon arrival and was given a quick tour of the grounds. When we got to our room, our luggage was already there and we received a thoughtful hand-written note and treats. We visited the art gallery and the wine tasting. We lounged at the pool and then had dinner at the restaurant. When we returned to our room after dinner, our bed was neatly made and some more treats and snacks were left for us to enjoy. The room was spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. The walls throughout the property is adorned by an exquisite amount of art work, which is quite impressive. The breakfast the next morning, included a variety of snacks and was delicious. We really enjoyed our stay. The friendly staff, extraordinary view, spacious garden, relaxing environment and delicious food, definitely made our visit extra special.

My wife and I recently stayed here to kick off our honeymoon and we are so glad that we did. From the moment we walked in the door everything was exquisitely taken care of. Kylie and the rest of the Ellerman House staff were so attentive and took care of every small detail imaginable.Room: not enough amazing things can be said about our room. We were upgraded upon arrival to a Deluxe House Room and the shock value on entry is spectacular. The views overlooking Bantry Bay from the private balcony are absurd and the rest of the room is perfectly appointed.Inclusions: yes, Ellerman House is a splurge, but what you get for the price is absolutely worth it. The “mini” bar in the room is stock with a fantastic selection of local wines and spirits that are completely complimentary. Additionally, all cocktails anywhere on the property are also included (exclusive of their wine selection, which is enormous). They also include a tour of their unbelievable art gallery and a wine tasting with their bartenders, Lovejoy and Fabrice.Food: the included breakfast spread each morning was fantastic. You can choose to eat in the dining room or in your own room, either way it is a great experience. We also had dinner one night in the restaurant and we’re very happy with everything. Major compliments to the chef and wait staff!Special thank you to all of the amazing staff at Ellerman House (Kylie, Lindy, Yassir, Fabrice, Lovejoy, Sylvain, Enricco, Issac - I am sure I am forgetting others) you were all amazing.

Beautiful views, excellent service, impressive South African art collection. Food is good. Beer selection a bit disappointing, only SAB and some Devils Peak, I wouldve thought theyd support some Western Cape micro breweries, but alas. Very impressive wine collection. I thoroughly enjoyed it, very special, but pricey for locals.

Ellerman House is an iconic Cape Town hotel. The building itself is stunning, with incredible views over Bantry Bay and a very well positioned pool. Im particularly fond of their piano ;)

Amazing food. Amazing wine. Amazing service. The wine gallery where we dined was one of the most well thought out dining rooms Ive ever been in. Not a single detail was left to mediocrity. The patio out the front of the bar has an wonderful view of the ocean and surrounding area. Just a sublime experience. Thank you to the staff for a delightful afternoon.

Probably the most beautiful hotel I have seen in Cape Town. The rooms are exquisite, service is perfect and the position of the hotel is magnificent. They have one of the best art collections for a hotel and they incorporated the natural features of the rocks into their design.

Ellerman House is the most amazing place on earth. Not only does it feel like you are in heaven, the staff makes this place extra special with their exceptional service. It should be a bucket list item.
