Stunning view of Table Mountain. No toothpaste no tooth brushes. Beds are comfortable.Cold breakfast cold coffee. Due to Covid no late bar service the hotel is a Maze of rooms. You can get lost.

Enjoyed my stay but the water restrictions was an inconvenience. As we had quite a long stay more effort could have been put in to make our stay comfortable. Like more coffee, tea and milk in our room.

You definitely needs adapter with extension to get power cord on bed. I have been in two rooms and they all have same issue that on centre of bed they put power sockets. Overall cleanliness is good but they dont wash utensils even you request them. No fridge in room

Up to standard. Friendly staff, good food at the restaurant, fun casino and clean rooms. Quiet and loved the gym.Downside.Theres no fridge in the rooms, the carpets but they clean and the gym is room size and only has the exercise wheel, treadmill and peak/steps exercise machine, few light dumbbells. No dstv, so theres limited channels. It is not your modern hotels but its up to standard.Overall I enjoyed, the staff were the highlight, very responsive.

I liked it. I enjoyed my stay in the place. I bit far from town but best location for business in the north of the city. Access to amenities from the casino like restaurants was a big boost. They also have this warm fire place in the breakfast area. That’s s bid cold buster in the cape cold winters. The feeling all in all is one of privacy and safety. I will visit again

Friendly service..lockdown stage 1 breakfast..very well setup..shower was just luke warm water though but after speaking to manager it was corectified.there was no valet service but the gent at the front desk came to help us with our baggage..

My goodness, such amazing service. The reception area (as for the amazing Lee)will just about help with your every need. The breakfast spreads are incredible, the cocktails at the bar are a personal touch by Ron the bartender. The surrounding landscape will calm you. The facility is also very dedicated to team cape town, with initiatives all over to avoid water wastage. Even the casino nearby (a must see for fun, wine and dinning as well as incredible live music) has an amazing no water wasting program.

Popped in to get lunch as all the restaurants at the casino was closed. They could not provide a menu and wanted us to scan a barcode to get a menu. We did not know how and there was no one at the facility that knew how either, so we left without a meal. We did provide our personal information at both the casino and hotel in order to get a meal. There was none available yet we were not told. Also started getting casino add smss?? Proof that our personal information is gathered under the false pretence of Covid 19. Quite a disgrace.

As an American visiting Cape Town South Africa I was extremely disappointed by the lack of customer service which I have become accustomed to in the United States. There were many polite and attentive staff in the hotel restaurant who should be recognized and commended for their efforts. Unfortunately the front desk staff and management left a lot to be desired.1. My granddaughter stepped on glass in the pool area and when we requested that the area be cleaned the request was ignored in two separate instances.2. When we requested our room be cleaned ( mind you we only requested after the initial 5 days of our stay) the staff did NOT remove trash or furnish us with toilet paper .... which seemed like two very simple steps to housekeeping efforts.3. We tried to support the hotel economy by eating a good portion of our meals in their cafe (despite the fact that there were less expensive options within a 1 minute walk).We attempted to use the system we would utilize in the US by charging the meals to our room and paying cash tips to the staff. We received a phone call in our room to inform us that we had a 140.00 US dollar tab and they wanted it paid up. At that point I felt very untrusted without any explanations why. We actually paid in full for TWO separate hotel rooms totaling a 15 night stay.I could continue on with my concerns over customer service in this establishment (not restaurant/cafe staff ..... just front desk and management).I would not recommend this hotel if customer service means anything to you when you are on vacation/holiday!!I do not have much recourse other than to write this review and to spend my meal money elsewhere. They don’t seem to appreciate patronage.

Reasonable pricing for your stay.Rooms are bigger than most other hotel rooms in the area.Lots of Parking is available. Situated close to Grand West entertainment, and a choice of many restaurants.Very friendly and helpful staff, which makes the stay very comfortable.The stay was really comfortable and relaxing.

This is lovely hotel and I visited so often. The staff is friendly and the service is so good. Nice breakfast, well positioned, easy access to the casino and there is variety of restaurants to choose from. WiFi strength is too. I love it

We recently had a surprise baby shower at the venue and the manager without any hassles assist us. Tho they dont do events like that. Well done City Lodge team

Had a very nice time at City Lodge Grandwest. The staff was extremely friendly from reception staff, kitchen staff right through to maintenance staff. If you needed assistance with anything they were able to help. A big thank you to Lee who assisted us with our vehicle that would not start as well. Hoping to visit soon again.

The service at reception was absolutely lovely on check-in and check out (6am there was coffee waiting and friendly smiles ). The rooms are purely functional. No luxury. Bed not too comfy however works for an overnight stay. Furniture in rooms old. Bathroom clean and neat .

We got to have a full bfast here on Sunday 15 July. The food, staff, service and overall experience was absolutely on point. The Manager on duty Maurice went over and above in making our experience memorable. They have just completed a soft upgrade and it looks very smart. The rooms, the decor, the extras that is offered makes one feel like you being cared for. Thank you City Lodge for a great experience.

Staff need training in how to deal with public. Very aggressive manager regarding covid testing. Very very poor.

Typical good service from city lodge. Very nice breakfast which starts at 6:30. There is 5 min walk to the casino complex. The entrance to hotel is a bit concealed though and one has to take a round about route to get access. Parking is validated by the hotel.
