My great grandfather, robert cooper, built this house. He loved Rugby hence the name of the house. He was a military man who worked at the castle and used to ride by horse into Cape Town. The structure of the stables at the house is still visible. The staircase had a beautiful thick wooden carved bannister. The house was surrounded by orchards. The pine tree has a very interesting origin from WW2
