My experience of edgemead high school was negative, noisy classrooms and disruptive behavior from students. Students that are rude and insensitive .It was a nightmare of a experience for me being a quiet(introverted) student. I couldnt think and walk into classes emotionally drained and stressed . Hopefully more high schools become more accommodating to the quiet student. More teachers  need to understand that being socially outgoing is not a “skill” and preferring to work alone or in a quiet environment is not a weakness. Introverts approach life in a unique way, and their approach is valuable even if it is rarely valued. With anxiety disorders and depression approaching epidemic levels, it is time that schools recognise the ways in which we create unnecessary stress for students despite our best intentions.

Edgemead high was a negative experience for me ,like typical high schools it caters to the extroverted student and not the really creative or really thoughtfully or kind students. It is a shame because the students of Edgemead high all have great potential but are put in a environment that doesnt always recognize their needs, with the exception of some teachers that understand/recognize this.

Very proud to have been part of EHS, I dont have to comment on the quality of teaching because the 100% Matric pass rate for 2019 speaks volumes. Thank you for everything EHS

Its my first year at the school and im enjoying every minute of it!Many opportunities at the school, great sport coachs, teachers and education.The Arts, Drama and Music is incredible

I attended school here and was a prefect, matriculating in 2018. Was a mostly negative experience and had a lot of underlying social issues that werent dealt with properly. Sports-wise only certain sports (hockey and football mainly) and sporting teams (first teams) within those sports are given attention. Most other sports are neglected both administratively and financially. The overall social vibe of the school is negative and little is done to rectify those issues as they are seen as petty and not important. However it creates a negative schooling environment for many students. Most of these reviews are from the aspects of parents who have a warped view of what actually happens at the school.

I can only comment on a time when my daughter attended ( - 2008) A well disciplined school with the majority of teaching staff commited to proving a good education. Thank you Mr Venter.

....This was one of the Best High Schools in the Area of Edgemead, Montevista & Bothasig! Both our children completed their high schooling here during the tenureship of Dr. Venter who proved to be an Excellent Principle. .....
