Friendly ,knowledgeable staff when it come to hair colour. Good products, very nice experience. Staff work quick and professional.

After the Salons were reopened at level 3 I was very excited about having my hair cut. It was the 1st time I cut it this short, I showed my stylist Ive been going to my reference picture and he reassured me that he could cut it that way, which was definitely not the case. My hair was shaven and thinned out, which the haircut did not require. I am super upset about the haircut, now that it had been thinned out my hair looks dry and split at the end. This is the second time my stylist caught on nonsense with my hair. The first time I didnt say anything but I think I shouldve been more firm at that point. My head constantly gets shoved to the front during my hair cut. I pay for something that I did not want and have to pay again to have it fixed! This time my hair was cut way shorter than the reference picture. I am livid even thinking about it

Went there a few times to have my sons haircut and my own hair dyed because the hairdressers are lovely.But eventually got increasingly put off by the front of shop manageress, so I will not be returning. She completely lacks interpersonal skills, does not make you feel very welcome or like a valued costumer, all of which is a critical role in any business.So she has lost the hair salon a costumer, referrals and an income for lovely hairdressers there!

I visited this salon for the first time over the Christmas period, on holiday from the UK with my family. I can really recommend this place.I found the colourist (Delia) to be caring and really listened to what I wanted to do.I didnt want a cut, but if I do when next in Cape Town I will definitely come here. The cuts I saw around me looked extremely good, professional and time taken which is not the case in the UK.I really do recommend the StyleBar and found it a very pleasant experience all round (certainly not always the case) and also affordable compared with others in the area.

Worst hair experience of my life!!! After not even taking my number down correctly, resulting in a wasted trip to the salon and time lost, I had to go back the next day, rearrange another day of my work week & after this, I left with the wrong haircut and colour. I asked for ombre with lowlights and left with an over bleached solid line that looked like it half my hair length had been dipped in red ink - even after showing reference images of the cut and color & after selecting the color I wanted from the pallet.This meant I had to go back for a 3rd day so they could attempt to fix the disaster that was made. I couldnt sleep and had to sacrifice another day of work. On the 3rd day the colour was slightly improved but on closer inspection the horrid skunk line was still obvious. I couldnt spend another day or cent and have more damage done to my already overbbleached strand & was forced to clip my hair up or curly it to try disguise the line of bleach.I had to live with this for a month so my hair - cut shorted than I wanted & incorrectly - had time to heal.This cost me many sleepless nights, R 1650.00, which I discovered, after a friend called to inquire, is the highest amount charged even though my hair was short, above my shoulders and done all wrong. At no point was I offer a reimbursement of any kind and the mess they tried to fix didnt end up being good enough. I lost faith in them completely.I also lost 2 modelling contracts as the clients in both cases said her hair needs work / needs attention - I will never make that money back or the time lost for my other job.2 trips to another independent salon & I finally had the colour and cut I asked for which was another expense of R 600.00 (for both appointments - far more reasonable) which I would not have incurred had Style Bar done what I paid and asked for.I will never go back and didnt think that it would still upset me months later but it does.I felt compelled to write this review as Id hate for anyone else to experience this.Hope no one experiences what I did there. The 1 star is necessary so I can share this post.. No stars from me. Sad but true.
