Good but more expensive than Cavendish & V&A R430 for a blowdry! Follow up on this, the Owner called and fixed this as I was charged incorrectly. That changes my rating as it was an excellent blowdry. Definitely worth Bumping up to 4 stars. Will post again.

I really enjoy the total experience at Shyloks3! Megan was my stylist and she is awesome. I had highlights done twice with her and she is very creative and professional! She also gave me a good cut for the new season and I feel 10 years younger!Thank you Megan and Shyloks3, you will definitely see me again!

I am very happy with the service that I received from Megan. On time, friendly, professional - and most importantly, she knows what she is doing!

I had a Brazilian done by Megan on 29 September 2020. I had several Brazilians done by other hair studios in the past and over the years and I know the procedure. I thought I will support Shyloks because I stay in Melkbosstrand. Megan only flat ironed my hair 3 times after I told her she must flat iron my hair at least 10 to16 times. She said she uses a wider flat iron and it is only necessary to do it 3 times. The whole idea is to flat iron small sections of hair many times. We all know that the flat iron part is the most important part of a Brazilian and Megan also confirmed that. After she flat ironed my hair she said I must go to the basin, she told the lady to wash my hair, she washed my hair vigorously twice, after I asked her not to wash the product out, but rather only rinse the product out of my hair but, she washed out the product Megan just applied as per Megans instructions. I was not happy, I wasted R1250.00 as I was told by the Brazilian Rep it wont last even a few months supposed to 3 to 6 months, if it was done right. Megans response to me was, she followed protocol. I even send Megan a video clip where they explain the Brazilian Cacau product and prosedure and her response was she did it right. I can not recommend Shyloks Melkbosstrand for Brazilian blowout treatment. I am not a happy customer and I will not go back to Shyloks Melkbosstrand.I add this review today 2 October 2020I received a call yesterday from the owner after he read my review posted on 1 October 2020. He confirmed and admitted that the product was not supposed to be washed out. He offered me to, re-do the Brazilian on the condition if the product is completly washed out in 2 months lol..... if a Brazilian is done right it will last up to 4-6 months. No Wynand thats not good client service. You do not give conditions on bad service. I declined his offer. I rather loose my money and go to one of the other hair salons in Melkbosstrand to re-do my Brazilian the right way, as it was supposed to be done in the first place with no conditions on after sale service. It is shocking, that after the owner confirmed the right procedures was not followed. I see that as bad service. I will never support Shyloks Melkbosstrand again.

I received very bad and unprofessional service from this salon. I can not recommend Shyloks3 and I will never go back to them even if they the only salon left in Melkbosstrand. LOL Luckily we have a couple of excellent salons to choose from. It was my bad decision to choose Shyloks. The stylist does not know her product and the application procedure. I had a Brazilian Blowout and paid R1250.00 for the treatment, the owner and stylist did not even try to assist me after I complained about the service and the application of the product.The stylist did only flat ironed my hair 3 times instead of 10 to16 times, wash the product out at the basin instead of only rinse the product out of my hair. She actually rinse my money down the drain. After 2 days the owner phoned me and admitted the stylist did not follow prosedure and offered to re-do my Brazilian blowout in 2 months time after he went on the website of Brazilian to read up as he said to me he is not a hairdresser, and does not know everything I reject his offer (the right thing to do was to refund my money to me) as it will only damage my hair to do it over in such short time, because if it was done correctly it would have lasted between 4 to 6 months. I know you must use Brazilian Shampoo and Conditioner at home to protect your hair and if you pay so much for a treatment you not irresponsible, you do the best to protect your hair for as long as you can. I had many Brazilian Blowouts done before. Wynand was so disappointed in the stylist, he said to me he will have to fire her, and then hours later he is prazing her. I am confused...... They waisted my money, but I do not trust them and for that reason I would rather waist my money than to go back to a salon were they dont know the product and procedure as they claimed, and there morning and evening talks arent the same. I am very disappointed in the owner. I will recommend people to read all the reviews before they make an appointment. I even went to the owner and stylist prior to my appointment to talk to them and to find out exactly what the procedure is and that did not even helped me. I am a very unhappy customer. I also just need to mention, Covid is still with us, but no safety messures is in place at Shyloks to protect you, like taking your temperature and sanitizing your hands.

Convenient location, not too difficult to set an appointment.The above is what my review used to be. If I could choose zero rating now, I would. Unfortunately it has become apparent that it is common place for staff to maliciously discuss clients, to an embarrassing & reputation damaging degree. Profoundly unprofessional, a complete breech of client confidentiality and highly unethical. Thankfully one of the local salons were able to assist & rectify the appalling service from Shylocks. New salon advised me that I am one of quite a few clients to have moved over due to this issue.
