I visited Blue lemon on the 14th of October, it was my birthday. And even though they did not know that it was, they made me feel extremely special. This means that this is the quality of their service. It is quite expensive, but truly worth the money, as the effort that they put into one individual is quite incredible. I’ve been to hairdresser, never did I come out from a bleach, with healthy hair. My hair is healthy, moved from black to blonde and it’s soooo soft.So thank you blue lemon, I’ll definitely visit again, and spend whatever for this quality.And those reading, you can’t go wrong ❤️

My hair took 6 hours, but time flew by thanks to the friendliest staff who made sure that I felt welcome and comfortable at all times. I walked in and I was offered a cup of tea while I waited.2. They constantly checked to see if I was good and if I needed anything.3. First time colouring my curls and I was pretty nervous to make the change. Riyaad made me feel very at ease and knew exactly what I was envisioning. Loving the results and will definitely be making Blue Lemon my regular salon.

I have never ever coloured my hair in my whole life, have been to few to enquire about colouring my hair but did not feel comfortable with my hair and there skills. The firstly they accommodate me and fit me in last minute( makeover decision) and even when store should be closing because it was 5pm they stayed to finish my look the dedication that they put in as team is amazing, cause they were busy until after 6pm with my hair. He did so much more than just capturing the look that I wanted he made my hair look soft and elegant the whole balayage skill is at another level. They made the scariest life changing experience into fun moment. Would recommend anyone to go to them, no exstream treatments was forced upon me and I was given two options how to do my hair and pricing also included upon my consolation. I absolutely got much more than what I paid for the wifey and husband due is really amazing and work really good together.Thank you Blue Lemon

Oh so here goes yet another hair nightmare story for me, however it’s the first story that finally ends with a happy ending. I never dye my hair, I prefer natural and healthy but I’ve been so keen on a natural balayage for a while. I decided to give it a go! I booked an appointment with a hairdresser and after 2. 5 hours I left the salon looking like I did in picture 2! In tears, devastated and feeling horrible. She did agree I could return for the completion of the job but I had lost all trust in her expertise. My incredible sister @hellokirstengons_ & my cousin @15dannig told me to go to the best hairstylist I could think of and fix this mess! I immediately thought of @bluelemonhair in Greenpoint. I have been following their page on Instagram for a long time and they recently ran a botched hair competition and I was blown away at the transformation of that women’s hair, hence I had full faith they could rescue my hair. They were so accommodating and scheduled me in early that same afternoon at 13:00 (yesterday), I was so relieved 😅 from the greeting upon arrival to me leaving the premises at 6:50pm 🥰 I felt welcomed and relaxed. The unbelievably talented hairstylist and the owners were able to make my hair dream come true within my budget. As you can see in pics 3-5 My hair looks INCREDIBLE. The colour and cut is exactly what I originally wanted and even better! I am now so full of confidence, feeling sexy and super happy. Thank you so much to all the staff @bluelemonhair and how can I not mention the unforgettable head, neck and back massage which was such a pleasant and much needed surprise after my initial experience.#makethemfirstchoice

I would definitely not recommend this salon if youre looking for one in Cape Town. I know so many other salons that are well known and do amazing hair. This salon over charged my cousin and myself with R350 each which was ONLY for a trim on our split ends. I am so very disappointed in this and I think we should definitely get a refund on this or get some of our money back cause that amount is ridiculous! If youre looking for a quality hair salon, try Marios in Constantia. They are reasonable with their prices.

I wholeheartedly recommend Blue Lemon! I’ve been going to Tenille for many months now. Tenille, in her profession, is always conscientious, precise and attentive. She continuously helps me understand my hair better and is stellar at making my wishes a reality (at the same time not showing any hesitancy in voicing her own views). She strikes me a creative at heart and is always fun to be around!

I have been having hair my done by Chantal for years.I cannot thank her enough,my hair Always looks amazing.I always feel so welcome at Blue Lemon and the results speak for itself. Chantal is highly qualified and very good at what she does -I would certainly recommend her!

I have curly hair (3b3c) went there to get a balayage . They did a great job with the color and with minimal damage as possible to my curls.They dont really specialise in curly hair but have a good understanding to the needs of naturals and what we want when it comes to preserving our curls.It was abit pricey 😭. However Im the type that dont play when it comes to my hair (too much time and money invested) so would rather pay more but have reliable people color my hair.Side note: I did a blow out just so I can see the color properly .

I would not recommend this salon to anyone. I left feeling manipulated by the salon owner Tennile. It seems she tries to up your bill by critiquing the state of your hair to the point of you believing you need all these extra treatments that are very costly. She insisted on doing a cut as well which she rushed due to obvious panick of another client waiting and ended up paying 500 rand for an unblended rushed cut and another 500 for an unwanted treatment (without the price being disclosed). She even told me my hair would fall off if she did highlights which I was told my another hairdresser that my hair is not in that critical of a condition for that to happen. I walked in their with a trusting heart and hopeful due to all their amazing social medias but unless youre a beauty vlogger with many insta followers, dont expect a fair treatment from these money hungry owners! I would recommend studio 59 in wynberg who did exactly what I wanted and offered value for money!

My cousins and I came to your blue lemom after we won a prize for a wash and a blow, while doing this one of the hairdressers said we needed our hair cut because the ends are dead and so she cut it and when we were leaving she then only informed us that we need to pay R350 for a trim which is expensive for just a trim in the first place and in the second place we were not informed that it would be extra fee before doing it because the hairdress offered to trim our hair ,otherwise we wouldnt have taken it. As Ive seen from previous reviews that blue lemon has done this with previous people they manipulate them into doing stuff they dont want and do not inform customers that a certain thing will be an additional charge. They rush your appointment if you dont have a lot of followers on Instagram. Do not go there expecting good service because you surely wont get it at Blue lemon all you will get if overcharged and manipulated.
