We would highly recommend staying at Maartens guesthouse when youre in Cape Town! A lovely place, safe neighborhood to wander around, great restaurants (la mouette and NV80) on walk distance. Great hospitality!

The beds are incredible, the location is somewhat private in contrast to the city but still close enough. The breakfast is fresh and amazing and Maarten is an absolute gem. If Im ever fortunate enough to return, I will.

Really recommended! Photos advertised match. Clean fresh rooms. Just like breakfast, the best breakfast we have had in the three weeks in South Africa including fresh bread. The neighborhood is one of the better ones in Cape Town, if not the best, we can quietly walk on the streets, even in the evenings. Very handy with all the nice restaurants and bars that are within walking distance. And Maarten himself is super friendly, explains everything there is to experience in the neighborhood. Too bad we could only stay two nights. If next time South Africa comes, we will definitely stay with Maarten again.

Very nice, helpful, informative, German speaking owner. The rooms are very clean. Very good breakfast. Pool. Drinks can be taken from the fridge and you write them down yourself. There is a fridge for guests separately. I will definitely come back. Nothing to complain about. Its great here.

Great, quiet location and restaurants (in Seapoint) also within walking distance. Very quiet and still fast in Cape Town Downtown. I would go immediately Book again there.
