Hout and about was an incredible experience that managed to showcase the best of what Cape Town has to offer. Amazing views and amazing service in a beautifully furnished and maintained home with great proximity to all the attractions of Hout Bay. Thomas was very accommodating and addressed any difficulties that arose swiftly and kindly. I would recommend spending time at Hout and About to anyone who wants a relaxing and luxurious getaway.

This place is a hidden gem! Situated high up against the beautiful backdrop mountains of Houtbay. We celebrated a friends bachelorette and were welcomed by the friendliest staff, Fanny & Monty. Food is of top quality prepared by Chef Thomas and his wife, Alice. High recommend this for people needing a getaway, to rest and unwind. Top top quality and beautiful view.

O my word this place is just amazing. I travel all over Africa and must say this has been the best by far. The owners know how to make their guests feel special. We had the most amazing time staying at this place for during our honeymoon!The owners and hosts, Thomas and Alice went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, and always served with a smile. Thomas being a local, gave us invaluable tips and advice on areas, restaurants and vineyards to visit, as well as contacting a local guide Denzel to take us around amazing handpicked vineyards for a day.The place itself is located in Hout Bay, with beautiful views of the mountains and the ocean with modern yet cosy interiors and attention to every little detail was not missed.I would 100% recommend this guest house for anyone who wants to explore the beautiful Cape Town and surrounding areas.

I loved my time at Hout & About. It was the perfect base from which to explore Cape Town. It offered a relaxed atmosphere where I could recharge when not out in the city.From the beautiful views across the bay to the scrumptious breakfasts and clean rooms, everything at Hout & About made for a memorable experience.I would 100% recommend to anyone wanting to visit Hout Bay.

We had the most amazing time at Hout and About, owners Thomas and Alice even made time to assist with special requests and throughout our stay, ensured that we felt welcome.Breakfast options had a good variety and was well prepared. The rooms are practically designed and the sleep was good.The view is out of this world and should you have the need to rediscover your soul, this would be the place to do so.

This place is simply amazing . I couldnt ask for a better get away . Its 1 Min away from the harbour . Very safe area . My Room was very clean and neat . Our 2 year old boy even had a blast . Everything was child friendly . Great job guys

What a beautiful stylish calm home, lovely views of Hout Bay and Chapmanss Peak, particularly at sunset. Charming hosts that served a delicious meal using lots of the best local ingredients.
