A lovely guest house. Perfect for a business trip, or longer stay. Beautiful garden. Also close to Durbanville Hospital

Our stay at Durbanville Guest House was HORRIBLE. We stayed in the family room and it was cold, there was a damp, muggy smell and the owner was so unpleasant. She initially did not want to take our booking but then eventually took us because we informed her that were referred to her accommodation by the Durbanville Medi Clinic.First of all - Payment of R6500 was done upfront and she couldnt even bother to know our names.Wendy needs to stop that business immediately as she is a less than poor as a host. Her hospitality is fake and phony. The rooms are very cold and the list of instructions were endless. Unplug and take turn off all sockets when they are not in use as Eskom isnt nice, Dont leave the keys in the sliding door because the door is slam-lock and when we tried to slam-lock the door we get a phone call saying that we shouldnt slam the door as we will break the glass. The wooden panels on the ceiling are leaking AND the best part is that she has sellotaped the leaks. She cannot bother to get it fixed.The linen is from well over 10 years ago - worn out and the duvet inner is old and dirty. it cannot stay in the cover because the cover no longer buttons up. The rugs on the floors were all damp because of the humidity and leaking ceiling. The best part is that the rooms DO NOT get serviced. All that is done is that the rubbish is taken out the bins.We ended up leaving 2 days earlier as we could no longer stand this place. Surely there needs to be some level of standard that such places need to adhere to, as this is just unacceptable.

Super peaceful here! The lady who owns and runs it is super friendly and always ready to help her visitors or her visitors visitors

Well done structure but the staff stole a forgotten North Face jacket in the room, going back to ask after a few hours there was no more .. staff behavior is not the most friendly.
