Shop was okay small and always full cashiers can be a little faster though always chatting away.

Average in every respect, nothing to complain about service is good store is neat and staff helpful. My only gripe is the layout is haphazard in my view. Although it will not stop me visiting

A lot of their food is already past expiration date and sell by date.Not the cleanest floor to walk around. Food not even organized neatly. I couldnt see myself buying anything packaged by the store. Its horrible to say the leastThey must do something about all this. Its incredulous

PnP staff is generally pleasant but Strand Street is different. I went in yesterday and never again. I encountered such rudeness that left a bitter taste in my mouth. First it was one of the floor managers then the cashier. Never again.

Staff walk around like they own the place chatting away at the top of their voices. Very little consideration for shoppers and how we move around the store... would expect nothing less from any Pnp. Not recommended.

This review is not necessarily on pick n pay but the parking management managing the centre you in which is Karabo Parking. We stayed at the Taj hotel and frequented this pick on numerous occasions and always a pleasant experience however today we decided to take the car and parked in the centre parking only to later have our vehicle wheel clamped and request a ridiculous amount of R300 to be paid in order for it to be released. This is clearly a scam as can be seen from the reviews on Google. It is a bad representation on pick n pay by association by using this company as your parking management. I definitely will not be supporting your store in the future and by no fault of your own. This is just totally unethical behaviour and I’m disgusted it’s allowed to continue with such reputable brands such as yours.

Honestly the ghetto, its not ideal for monthly shopping since its hard to get in and out of with a car. Also big trolleys are not available for shopping. And its usually quite full

Store sells a fair variety of goods. Most cashiers are friendly, thorough, offering good service.Unfortunately I cant speak the same about the service at the weighing scale for fruit & veggies. More than often I had to wait long periods of time before I was assisted to weigh my goods.

Store is usually very dirty with massive queues and fruit and veg selection is a shocker.

A busy but good Pick n Pay. Efficient staff and a well varied hot foods section. The bakery is lekker too. At peak times it can be a bit chaotic, but management quickly opens tills when it gets busy.

If you are using a digital voucher to pay for your goods do not go to this store I would not recommend you wasting your time.MY recommendation is based on my experienceI visited the store to redeem a a pick n pay digital voucher on Friday afternoon after work , two cashiers tried to help me only to conclude that the systems are offline. I left my groceries in the store. Today the next Tuesday Im told part (R190) of my voucher was redeemed and now I have to wait on an investigation that will probably never be resolved before I can get my money. As a customer and student R190 is very significant to me financially . I am extremely disappointed and the service that I got.

I had the worst experience with rude management who goes by the name Collet not even willing to assist telling me they are not at fault. They did not even check all the Facts!!I got a voucher and went to pick n pay on the 09/10/2020 and purchased for an amount of R244.97. The teller told me the voucher was not successful and I had to pay with my bank card.On 12/10/2020 I went back to buy again with the voucher all to find out there is a balance of R5. 03 meaning they double charged me.Since I went there around 4:45pm they told me to get back today and I understood its a technical error.The R5. 03 was also taken with my voucher currently at R0 balanceI was very patient and happy that they will try and resolve this the following dayWent back today and was referred to the manager who said to me its not their fault the voucher went off as the system was offline. I should consult webtickets to reverse the voucher. Funny enough it was not offline as I purchased from the same teller.What I need urgently is the amount taken from my bank account urgently!!!!!!

Im almost always overcharged and today, all the precut PnP cheddar cheese was mouldy. I spoke to Faiz who spoke to Philip after which the cheese was put back in the fridge. I was told thats how we got it.

I have been shopping here occasionally, for many years... I find it well stocked, and quite convenient as far as location and trading hours. It is definitely safe during trading hours. Great for after work grocery shopping. There are visible security guards in place.

Its very overcrowded and the queueing system is terrible. People just cut in.

I suggest purchasing tourist attraction tickets here- such as table mountain cable car- cheaper than at TB or TB online directly. You can also get intercity airfares pretty reasonably here. Cash and card accepted.

This is a busy PnP store. They have most of what you need on a daily basis. Staff are helpful. Only let down is the fresh fruit and veg section......limited variety and quality is often poor. They need to improve their buying in this area.

Extremely busy. Que time can be 15 minutes plus. They cater well for the African food market. They dont have a customer Bar code service & many prices are not displayed.No coffee shop. No wheel chair facility. No parking. No restroom or toilette facility. Staff in general are friendly & helpful

Pick n Pay Strand Street is the most popular retail store in the area...tourists love coming here as it have everything they need. This store close at 19.00 weekdays.

Handy smallish supermarket within the Parkade Mall shopping arcade to buy food and other supplies especially for me being a visitor to Cape Town using self catering apartment on Greenmarket Square, which is only 200 metres away towards mountain. Main entry is at 58 Strand Street opposite where Burg Street meets Strand Street. Gets quite crowded around 4-5 pm and as the early closing time around 6-7pm approaches. Has a reasonably good range of products including fresh fruit and vegetables plus a meat and deli section. Staff are helpful if youre having trouble locating particular items. Would have given it 4 stars if there was more room in the aisles as it get quite cramped during those busy times in afternoon evening as closing approaches.

Right in the centre of Cape Town - in Picbel Centre - access from either Strand St or Long Street. This Pick n Pay certainly becomes ur best friend. Caters to ALL needs & whims of just about anyone. & FRESH produce at all times.

Good customer service but not easy to find goods. I always end up looking for something which is not convenient. They should try to make it easier for customers to find the goods. Seems like the products are randomly placed in isles. Some varieties dont even match or make sense to put in the same isle or on the same shelf.

Its a good place for buying groceries. 1 or 2 of the cashiers are a bit too rude and mean. You can try by all means to be nice but being rude is just in their nature. Actually, thats one of the reasons I hardly visit the place anymore. It used to be my favourite grocery store when I started staying here about 2 years ago.
