Dr. J. De Beer is a wonderful doctor, he makes sure that I feel comfortable and makes me feel at ease,.. but the secretary at the reception desk is not very professional. I was treated like a little child. I was spoken down to and she lied about menial things;Take, for example that when covid became serious in South Africa, when we tried to admit our newborn baby to see the doctor, she told us that because he wasnt on file at the practice he couldnt be seen by the doctor even though Dr De Beer is listed as our family doctor...Our recent encounter with this receptionist paints a finer picture of the service we have been thrown at... My medical report for instance; when I later returned to ask if the doctor could use an updated form(the Saudi embassy in Pretoria had rejected the first copy of the form used and I was willing to pay for the update) , she had the audacity to lie straight to my face and tell me that the practice does not do medical tests like...WHAT!!? Both my wife and I had just paid the practice for it last week and shes telling me they dont do it??? If this was a sign of subtle racism or just being overworked then she deserves a break.Today when I went to collect my form and she hadnt attached my passport photo, when I asked if she could glue it and then stamp on it, she said that I should do things the right way; I noted that my wifes was glued to the form, but I didnt argue. After returning from the supermarket with the glue, she lied to me again. Apparently Dr De Beers stamp wasnt available, but as soon as I asked if I could return tomorrow to pick up the form, she marched(with an attitude) back down the hall to the doctors office stamped my form and returned it to me....if I am an irritation to her, then I am afraid that your practice has just lost my entire family.

Best doc in the Cape!

I had a great experience at this doctors practice. Doctors who do more than just listen to your physical needs but treat the person for who they are as fellow human being as well. With love for their neighbor they go about doing their bit in society.

I have been coming to this practice for decades and can only attest to high quality and professionalism of the caring doctors. How sad that this wonderful experience is badly marred by the highly unprofessional, condescending, unhelpful, and downright rude handling of a patient by the receptionist (that according to herself only works in the afternoons). It is such a stark contrast to the doctors and will hurt this practise.

These doctors only have their patients well being at heart. Very organized practice and patients never sit in queues.
