Place made to appear as family friendly, but very intolerant towards kids. Kids expected to be kept indoors and silenced. If you have kids, look elsewhere.

Offers a gym, a pool, a creche and lovely walkways. Near the Somerset west Mall. They offer two & three bedroom apartments with two bathrooms and basement parkings for a very reasonable price.

Not for me. I dont do living on top of your neighbor well. Too many apartments in a confined space.They are nice apartments though.

Due to high volumes of different cultures moving in and sometimes more than one family sharing a flat it has become a terrible place to live.. After more than 6 years we have given notice. Noise levels are high with children screaming and running up and down the stairs even throwing their trash from their balconies down. Food Lovers just accross the road have generators that wake you up. If a neighbour opens his tap you hear it all the way to your own flat, pipes need to be fixed but they dont care. Extra small living space. Not allowed to take a bucket of your own pre paid water to rinse your car. The list is endless. Not so safe as there have been break-ins and also warnings about a hotspot crime area from outside to the mall so you cannot walk alone. Muggings tookplace. Close by HOP houses are going up which will bring with its own problems for the area. Horrible in my opinion.

Very secure complex and absolutely loved the quite and stillness of the place.

This is such a well laid out and neat living space! The flats are more spacious than I aticipated. Ample parking, good security and great amenities. It is close to shopping centres, eateries and just a hop away from the beach. Easy access to the the main roads leading out of the Helderberg makes this an ideal location for those who have to travel to surrounding areas for work. Potentially great for people who wants to scale down too, but I do not know if all the owners allow pets ( small dogs and cats maybe?)

Feels like California a little. Nice apartments and the security is super friendly. Walking distance to the mall. But I wouldnt walk around here at night alone. Near gas station and McDonalds. Great for late night snacks. Gated community. Clean. Would for sure stay here again. Near freeway so you are quickly to everything. Perfect location for those that want to explore.

Lived here for three years. Close to the mall and a plethora of other shops. Strolling distance. Well kept complex and safe. Pool and gym. All I need to do now is make use if the well appointed gym, why would anyone want to live elsewhere.?The units are on the small side but there is always going to be a trade off next matter where you go. Me, I go here.Just signed a new lease in a unit next door to where I have been for three years so its safe to say that I recommend Somerset Links.

Failing architecture and home repairs are not long lasting.Amazing security but questionable management leaving residents highly dissatisfied with the way complex issues are handled.Avoid renting near gate 3: its right next to a road and its noisy as heck!

I bought an investment property in Somerset Links and i was thrilled with my purchase. Some maintenance issues cropped up as the property was bought as a bank-repo and the previous owners didnt maintain the interiors, but i found that the Body Corporate has helped me tremendously during my maintenance phase and repairs. I love the gym and go there every day or as often as i can, helpful and friendly staff and cleaners all around. Buildings and gardens are well maintained for the size of the complex and Security is very well and has improved a lot with the addition of a new security and bio metrics system that has been put into place. Security officers are helpful and always look professional and neat. Good addition is the on site pre-primary school as well for daytime care for new parents living in the complex or outside of the complex.

Enough parking for visitors, close to the mall. Need to phone in and have identification to enter the premises.

Somerset Links is a beautiful place! Grounds are pretty much beautiful enough - cosiddering the size! Except for few paint jobs still being done - should have beeb fin in Jan 2012 - now June 12, all together very nice. Aspecially Pool and Gym area. Such a pity tnr people there are SK UNFRIENDLY AND STUCK-UP inyheur own back sides! Never in more than 6months We been here, has Any Body - Who so Ever attemo to make it feel like a community who live & stay together. In contrary - Young guy from gym makes One feel like that Dig hes got living with him & girlfriend - on premissis. The Bidy Corporate are Mist All a bunch of LIERS! Never attending to complaints about water - Damping, leakes and possible blockages! MORE THAN 6MONTHS NOW! Still NOT EVEN 1PERSON to come & look at problems. BRAINDEAD - &/or - STUPID!!!?????? They will have to look at these faults/complaints before half of the S/set Links falls into the Basements.Fortunatly; there is Trevor, foreman of the Garden Servives. Friendly and helpfull. Thanx to him!;-) xJx
