Usually great, was surprised today with the mince vetkoek, feels misleading with the initial look of a vetkoek and the reality of a barely filled vetkoek, hope its just a lazy staff member and not deliberate

Very good selection of fresh and prepacked produce. Can get crowded during certain times of the day. Checkout line was long during a lunchtime visit but checkout went super quick. Worth a visit.

Always well stocked with fresh veggies, fruit, fish and meat as well as other groceries. Always end up buying more than I planned for!

Of all the Food Lovers Markets that I have been to, this one probably has the friendliest staff.The specials are fantastic. They are so efficient and helpful when you ask them for something. The cow is a pain in the backside though. :-)

Really disappointed. This is not the first time this happened where the tellers scan my items twice then i pay double for one item. Also dont buy the calamari or any fish type product they will tell you its fresh in the morning then you get a nice surprise later.

Sunday 12 September Shopping experience: We went shopping on Sunday, bought a couple of items. Got home and had a slice of the sourdough bread that we frequently buy at the shop. It was disgusting, no salt, it tasted like plastic. Could not eat it. Next, we wanted to eat the very large milk tart slices that we buy very often at the shop. It had no sugar in it, very pale in color, it tasted like plastic. By now you would think that we have covid and cant taste, but we do not have covid... Just now, I opened the bottle of freshly squeezed mixed fruit juice. It looked like pear juice, but it is just pure lemon juice, so sour, cant even swallow the sip I took. I really dont know what is going on at your shop, but the quality is not good at all. (btw, your venison and chicken pie is amazing! )

We bought supposed to be fresh mixed salad and cooked chicken from your store. The whole chicken was bone dry, the chicken mayo ended up tasting like rotten cabbage. The cheese was definitely off and the salads was all inedible. It is such a mission to take it all back to replace. Fruit and veg wont see us very soon.

I love love love shopping at Food Lover’s. They have the widest variety of fruits, veggies, meats, cheeses, and more, at super reasonable prices. Weirdly enough, they also have the best sushi.

We go there often.. Be careful to check the fruit.. Sometimes past its sell by date. In general.. Good produce and very good service. The Seattle Coffee shop is great.

Luv it, luv it, there are always specials during the day, for the amount of people that visit, the tills are rather quick, there is no parking problem, & usually Wednesdays is pensioners day.

Very nice and clean. Big selection of meat. Nice sushi to go that could be bought. Any and all food you can think of. Wish there was bigger range of wine but it is a food lovers market and not a liquer store. It could get crowded so go early.

Aphiwe at till no4 is the rudest cashier Ive experienced in a very long time. She could do with some basic customer service training. I greeted her and asked for a bag. I received a sullen stare. She rang up my goods incorrectly and communicated nothing while she waited for the supervisor. After everything she asked if I wanted a bag. I answered very politely that I asked for a bag 10 minutes ago. She then proceeded to shout at me. And said a few choice things under her breath in her home language. Too bad for her that I understood every word. Disgusted!

Please provide visible signage of your pay points and exit. I will definitely visit in the future as staff were helpful and prices good

Ok, just wish the management was up to scratch, always in thier office ignorance to the problems on the floor, Covid distance at checkout is a joke.Not to mention all the people picking up the loose fruit, the putting it back after wiping thier nose.

I only buy here because my wife insisted,, I find the product on the verge of expiration, thats why they have all these specials, nothing lasts, they probably freeze everything, then pack it out, thats why all fruits and vegetables are always hard and very cold.So sad I loved this franchise.

So today i was the only guy who got his bag searched by this white guy with glasses at the door hes clearly resist because he literally said am suspecting you cz am black he spoke bad things to me. I just laughed at him. Great service, one stop for all your fruits and veggies.

Love shopping here. The fresh produce is always fresh and I prefer using my own reusable netting bags to weigh produce as other shops use too much plastic with packaging. They have an amazing selection of cheese and I buy the stoneground sourdough bread for my husband and son here as its made there and no GMO or preservatives added. Other essential items are either the same price or more expensive than other bigger retail shops, so I tend to only buy fresh fruit/veg, cheese and bread here. The fish is also always yummy and fresh.

All food lover branches in Pretoria has on Wednesdays a senior discount. This food lover branch does not provide the same and will not see me again!

Their fruit is good! But just 2 tips: 1. Try avoiding buying fruit or/and vegetables you plan on eating more than 3 days after purchase (if you have correct storage for it. Like space in your fridge, then its okay). 2. Always double check their specials. Especially their package sales. Sometimes its cheaper to buy individual items than buying them in a package deal.But overall, there variety and freshness is amazing! As per usual. Only issue I had was the price. Especially given we went literally on Black Friday. We didnt really get a Black Friday Deal besides white button mushrooms which were half price. And thats about it.

Really well stocked Food Lovers, very nice made-to-order meal sections & has nice built in coffee shop. I go there frequently, its really nice & has some great touches added to the store.BUT my one warning for potential shoppers is: if you set foot in the store & go Eh I changed my mind Ill get groceries another time & try to quickly LEAVE without groceries, you WILL be stopped by Security & made to go through the store & through the whole till system that you need to go through before you get to the Exit (you cant reach it otherwise) which is usually pretty packed. So please make sure you KNOW what you need & know its there as its not a place you can quickly check if they have certain items/change your mind & leave.

Diesel at better price than most other stations.

While a lot of variety is on offer, and they have a lot of good meat, often their vegetables are not fresh enough, and often do not last very long after purchase even when fridged. Other stores nearby have the same vegetables and they last a lot longer. I have lost count of the times when I have to throw away veg I bought after 2-3 days in the fridge as it went mouldy or rotten. Their meat and bakery are 5 stars though. @FLM in response to comment, it happens regularly, and it is not worth my time or money to drive all the way to you to return a few veggies. Solution is: FRESHER VEGETABLES, obviously. . . . .

I bought a brownie that looked delicious only to find when I bit into it there were white gooey worms inside. Felt sick. Tore the whole brownie apart and found that it was filled with with maggots

Fresh food Heaven. Just like the name says, if youre a Food Lover then itll be love at first sight. Theyre freshly prepared Hot Food, salads and sushi is mouth watering.

Food Lovers is always clean and the staff are always available on the floor to assist with anything a customer queries. The quality and freshness of food is almost always guaranteed. Also the bargains for bulk purchases are very much appreciated.

Staff not very helpful. No communication. Asked for a soup pack , lady walked to the back / store room and never told me she was going to collect one for me followed her then eventually gave up. Waited at the fruit and veg section then she handed one to me. The gentleman I asked for assistance first told me to ask the lady. In my perception, all staff represents fruit and veg and should know floor space ? Right or wrong ?
