We are in awe of the quality of the basket of fish, the vision of the team & the support & love of the small scale fishermen who have assisted in building & are supported by the initiative. If potential clients read other reviews regarding their transparency re pricing, they have to do further research & understand that Abalobi is the best possible way to support the culture of small scale, regenerative fishing in South Africa. Was really excited to finally have a chance to use this service as general public, but after trying to make my first order I have been left rather disgusted. Order 2kg of Hottentot at R60 a kilo. Got quoted in total when ordering R184. The next morning when delivery was to take place I check the app and see the price has now gone up to R279. I was given fake reasons as to why the price increased and promised fish on the house that never materialized. Absolute scam.

These guys are not very transparent with their pricing. I placed an order and was given the price of R230. When it came time to pay, the price inflated to R380? Shameless exploitation in times of uncertainty. I will not be supporting this.
