Bought a bag of 10kg Kameeldoring from my local PnP. Found the quality of wood to be very low.

Yesterday, i bought a 5kg bag of Namibie charcoal from Bouhandel in Kleinmond. Sably at my braai last night,i discovered that the charcoal,was a lot of chips as big as a thumps nail. There were about 5 pieces that measured about 20 mm in diameter !

Found their wood to be great, particularly the Kameel Doring - Hard, dry, ignites quickly and burns really hot. Ideal for braaing steaks. Have watched the company grow over the years & have great respect for the owner.Visiting the factory to collect directly is not for women in heels or those who prefer the refined shopping experience as wood, charcoal & firelighters is a messy business but for those who want a great deal, good variety, friendly service and can see past the environment you should be well rewarded.
