Robert, the owner, and his team are absolute experts regarding the best fireplace from a huge range of options. He carefully considers and explains all of the options, balancing costs with benefits. Initial help and service from the store was good but unfortunately the several bags speciality charcoal I had purchased had been manhandled and crushed into chardust rather than charcoal. Very disappointing especially considering the price.

I have an old freestanding braai which has served me well for 20 years. The initial installation was not done properly and it has leaked during showers. I had got some quotes on a replacement and they were expensive. By chance I was driving past Southern Fireplaces and decided to just pop in. I am so glad I did. I was told that repair of my existing braai was possible and they quoted. After I confirmed with them, the installation team ground all the bits and bobs off the old braai and slid a new table-top braai into the shell. The whole setup looks brand new and a new chimney to boot.To say I am satisfied is a slight understatement, I am extremely happy with the whole process from start to finish. Friendly staff too.
