We chose them over other options based on their service and after-sales service. The third party installer they used was very professional and managed to sort out any teething problems timeously. Vaughn and his staff work very hard to get 5 star reviews. He personally made every effort to ensure my E700 was installed correctly and after a home visit even advised me that in order to get the best out of the fireplace I would probably need to improve the insulation in my roof. This I have had done to the highest standard by a reputable insulating company.A Western Cape cold front is providing a great test for that suggestion and at the moment it is failing badly. I have been promised further evaluation and will complete this review when it happens , for better or for worse.

Really passionate and warm customer service

Very unhappy! Attachments were not sealed. Water rained inside and outside the pipe into the fire pot and on the outside causing the pot to crack and extensive damage to ceiling and electrical equipment. The pipe fell into the pot and they reattached it to the pot with screws which now all has rusted. The chimney pipe were placed against electrical wiring which melted. After my complaint they placed insulation over the pipe and electrical pipe making me think this is solved. When I finally opened my ceiling to see for myself what is happening I saw that they cut a hole in both sides of the insulation through which the electrical pipe was. This constitutes a lie. They are blaming me for all of this and threatened me with lawyers. When I sent the pictures after the investigation to Vaughn he blocked me. I want to thank Hardu from Cape Install who helped me replace and fix defective installation and cracked pot. Not a drop of water leaked after Hardu helped me.

The people here really know their work well. Theyll help you find the best size, the right type and your exact taste of their cozy fireplaces. You know youre getting a good fireplace when their product is from countries in Europe where snow and cold is very common. I recommend Fireplace City to anyone who wants to keep cozy this winter.
