Fire Place Cape Town delivered a seamless service for the supply and installation of a new interior fireplace, and a re-build of our outdoor braai. Shauns follow up service with a demo was great, and he has always answered any of my questions promptly. We have been using both products for just under a year and have had no problems. I highly recommend using Fire Place Cape Town both for their products and service.

Unfortunately it is not possible to give zero stars.One installation should have taken one visit. Five visits later and they still had not fixed all the holes. I completed the job myself after I was promised to be reimbursed for the materials. It has been a couple of months now and I have not yet been reimbursed.Another reviewer, Shaun Maggs, is an owner/director of the company.I have included my correspondence after I completed the job myself, below, to the office secretary and one of the owners, Patrick. They have not responded to any of them. The job took me 1.5hrs start to finish as I also had to go and purchase the materials.INV0001920 shows a sum of R2500 ex VAT for the installation that should have included the work I had to do now. I did not want Alexs team here again as it would have been their 6th visit, I believe. As such, I did give your company fair and reasonable opportunity to correct their mistakes on the installation. They include and are not limited to:1 Cutting the ceiling hole in the wrong place2 Using old worn flue that did not fit the double wall section3 Only using a half sheet of lead on the roof sheeting that did not cover the adjacent valley - part of the case of an extensive leak inside the property4 Not sealing the flashing against the flue5 Not supporting the flue at the base as it enters the unit6 Not resealing the membrane against the flue sufficiently once againAt all times I kept Shaun informed of these issues. As such, I believe that I should also be refunded for the relevant amount for the time I had to take, in lieu of work not done sufficiently by your company.
