Ive been dealing with DebtBusters for quite some time and theyre brilliant. Specifically Hayley Cloete whos been assisting me for a while now and shes been consistently professional, supportive, empathetic and hands on. I can honestly say I dont know what I would do without her. Five out of five stars doesnt feel like enough for the standard she maintains.

My experience was really amazing, I can say I didnt see it coming.What I means is theyve speed up the service beyond my expectations.In short theyve up their game.

Worst nightmare EVER. Ive received a notice from the bank saying that they will repossess my car in the next 48 hours if I dont make payments. But Im on maternity leave and Ive communicated with debt busters, called, sent emails and supporting documents. They FAILED to communicate with the bank. Phone them and you wait 30 minutes on the line until you give up. Send them an email and they never get back to you. Then you pay them, they make minimal payments to your creditors and list themselves as accounts to take more money from you. Service is Atrocious.

Its all fun and games until you realize that no one at this company knows what they are doing and you start receiving lawyers letters informing you that you have not been paying while DebtBusters have been taking your money every month for years. And then, once youve made your last payment, you find out that you are STILL in debt. OMW. STAY AWAY.

Why are you guys not collecting my debit order on the date youre supposed to? This is the 2nd month Ive had to make manual payment as my debit order doesnt get collected. Ive sent 4 emails already to query why the debit order wasnt collected on the stipulated date and I just get no reply. FOUR emails. This is pathetic service and extremely disappointing. Why must the client contact YOU if the debit order is not collected? Does your system not show that the DO is not allocated accordingly? This is the 2nd month that Ive made a payment manually, out of my own, so that it doesnt impact me negatively. You guys need to get your house in order and inform your clients of what is going on.

The company that is quick to assit you in signing up for debt review but the worst when you contact them to get your settlement amounts. Three weeks of delaying tactics, just in time for their next installment to go off. Pathetic and bottom shelve customer service. I do not recommend this service, at all.

This is the worst experience ever.I requested settlement amounts 16th July 2021 and still nothing, today 27th July they debited from my account again... Still no response to resolve my request to settle my debt and issue me with a clearance certificate...They make you so sick you want to vomit...I have been running around trying to get some sort of assistance... Stay away from this company, not only did they mess up my debt review, but now months after it ended their insurance product remains on my credit profile as overdue. It has been closed since last year November and Ive tried twice now to get it sorted out. Each time they just say Itll take three months

They have put me under debt review with ease but to take that flag off my name with the beuraus has not been done and have no interest in assisting. I cannot get credit for anything! They are useless!! Do not use them, they will ruin your life!!

Debt busters made my life hellThis company has made my life hellI have been trying to get my name removed from debt counseling with them for years now and I even had to hire a lawyer last year(and I spent a lot of money on that) and my lawyer sent through all the documents showing that I am no longer over indebted and all my creditors have been paid years ago and these guys kept saying that they never received her email(of which she sent it over 3 times on the email that you had provided).These guys kept giving the lawyer the run arounds until she told me that she had given up..What is so funny is that Debt Busters were so so quick to respond years ago when they wanted me to sign into this debt review thing which has ruined and put my life on pause for years now when I had paid all my creditors ages ago and for years I have struggled with a lot of stuff because of this debt review that appears on my credit record when I had paid all my creditors like 4/5 years ago.I hope that one day this company crashes down for the treatment that I have received from it and I will write a review here every month until my matter is resolved.I have sent through another email to them and I know that I won’t get any response

Customer service is extremely slow and at times unresponsive.

Debtbusters is nonsense talk to any representative of theirs their list your name on debt review without you signing any documents and make sure not to assist as well.This company shouldn’t be helping any south-Africans it’s uselessness is costing us hell of credit worthiness 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

Even after the previous complaint they still have not sorted my issue.After the previous bad review DebtBusters contacted me to explain the mistake they made and promised that I would be kept up to date. Some progress was made but again everything came to a standstill and again Im not receiving any replies to my queries.We have requested a paid up letter and should be received in the next 7-10 working days.THAT WAS SENT ON AUGUST 25 !!!I honestly do not know what to do next. The incredible number of spam calls I receive from this company is absurd. Im truly thankful for Truecaller and its ability to identify and block incoming spam numbers.Edit: I reduced my review from 2 stars to 1 star upon receiving spam SMSes from them after blocking their calls. In addition to the massive number of spam calls received, they press out a massive number of unsolicited SMSes.

Spam callers of note , should be shut down for breaching do not call protocols.

So much spam on a monthly basis. Opting out also does not seem to work.

I regret the day i made a call seeking for help at debt busters.Their call centre people are all about sales. they will make sure you fall under debt review even if you dont qualify, they will add on to things. one thing they not aware of is what they put a person through after the completion of the whole process. my financial life was way better before I used them.then after they placed you under debt review they will treat you as nothing, nore to advice you on the solution of being removed under debt review.

If there was a ZERO, I would choose that... The WORST customer service you will EVER receive and they dont care... Even if you mention their bad ratings on Google and Hello Peter! I dont know how they got rated as SAs best Debt counsellor!!! They just dont care about their customers!!!! Our information is wrong on their side... I cannot get my documents signed at the commissioner of oath... I have been asking them to fix the stuff on their side for almost a month... NOTHING happens...I have logged tickets, talked on that chat thingy,spoken to consultants... Every time,you have to start explaining from scratch... They just keep on sending the documents with the incorrect info in it... I really dont know how they do business...Not even a manager or suervisor that is able to assist you...

Terrible. Same mistakes over and over again. Poor customer service. Dont care about you. Will wreck your credit record through their ineffective case management rather than helping you restore it even if you are cooperarive and innocent. Stay away.

Paid up my debt counselling on the 11th of the month and guess what, they once again debited my account and nobody wants to take accountability for this mistake

These people use illegal methods to obtain peoples private information and then spam them, how can you trust a company with your finances when they have no respect for the law.

Worst decision you could make if you go with this company as there is no follow through on their promises and no personal touch also they do not keep their agreements with your credit providers so it ends up that you get harrassed and end up having to make arrangements yourself (what they getting paid to do )

Be very careful when going under debt review, Try and speak to your creditors first, I personally wouldnt recommend DebtBusters, as they are misleading and false, very unprofessional ethics.
