Prof Siebert made my wife and I feel safe and cared for from our very first visit. He understood our unique situation and never made us feel discriminated against. The nurses, admin staff and lab staff were all incredible. Everyone was always friendly and sensitive to what we were going through. After my second embryo transfer, I am delighted to say we are now blessed with twins.

We had an absolutely appalling experience with Dr Hanekom, but I see we’re not the only ones. There is another review here about him that was 100% our experience as well. I’m sure that Aevitas as a whole is not too bad, but I would not recommend Dr Hanekom at all. Like the other review mentioned, our main complaints were:- Completely unsympathetic towards patients, with condescending responses like “Oh well you shouldn’t actually be in pain from this so I don’t know” as if the patient is making it up. Or, after being in pain for three months and hardly being able to walk or function, “Ag just try to hold out, we did so much effort for you”. As if we didn’t pay him, or as if he did us a favour.- Does not like to be questioned, even though we felt he lost interest in our case and became disengaged - he is not helpful or accommodating, but rather hostile should you have a question for him.- INCREDIBLY poor communication with the patient, as we NOT ONCE received lab results or blood tests that he sent for, even after we contacted his practice to ask for the results.- Terrible communication between him and his receptionist which meant that we were messed around at least two of the three times that we went to see him (ie she made a booking at the wrong practice or never informed him about the purpose of our visit so we had to come back a second time).Ultimately, I am deeply disappointed in the level of care that we received from him as I even emailed him before making an initial appointment, mentioning that our case did involve a rare condition, and we just wanted to make sure he felt comfortable/familiar enough to manage it. We forked out thousands, only to have him (with the least amount of compassion I have ever seen) dismiss us as if it was our fault.I have heard very good things about some of the other doctors, although I have no first hand experience with them, but based on my experience, I cannot sincerely recommend Dr Hanekom.

Amazing and caring staff, great doctors who actually care about you and your well-being. A better facility you won’t find in South Africa when fertility is concerned.

Aevitas has helped us realise our dream not just once but TWICE! Having a genetic disorder (myotonic muscle dystrophy) to avoid passing to our children we did ivf with Pgd tetsing.James was born in 2016 and his baby brother Alexander was born in 2021.We had many obstacles,  during this emotional roller-coaster the Aevitas team was always there to support and motivate us. From the reception the nursing staff, the embryologists and of course the doctors we got to know all of them so well we feel like family!Special thanks to Prof Kruger who was with us every step of the way, we will forever be gratefull!

I would highly recommend dr. Hulme and his team at Aevitas. He is very caring and very professional. After years of trying, our baby boy was born thanks to their efforts to make it happen. Also dont forget the Lab. The Lab at Aevitas is one of the highest quality labs in the world!

Our journey started 4 years ago at another clinic. It was a complete mess. After wasting way to much time with them we moved over to Aevitas. And what a difference it made. From the ladies in the front, to the cleaning staff, accounts department, the embryologists, doctors and sisters, our expirence was amazing. I cannot recommend Aevitas enough. The love we felt there from the moment we stepped into the clinic just made us feel right at home. Last year in the middle of covid we decided to do our last and final round of IVF. Dr Hulme was a super hero. While the world stood on its head he gave us our biggest dream come true. We have one more Embry baby with Aevitas and I cant wait to go back to Aevitas in 2022 to get lucky with another perfect little human. The journey is hard, there are no guarantees, but Aevitas made us believe they would give it their all and they did. Im one lucky mommy now to the most precious baby boy.

The clinic and faciliities are great. Just need a little more interaction with the doctor.

Dr Gerhard Hanekom is the most uncompassionate and unfriendly doctor that I have ever met.He does not treat patients with the respect, dignity, and the compassion that they deserve.He treats questions like a waste of time, and is sure to show you his frustration and how irritated he is with the mere fact that you asked a question.He takes extremely long to respond to emails, if he even responds at all, even if they are important/urgent. And when he does respond, he responds without properly reading your question in the first place, because hell reply with short answers that dont even answer your question. And he does not even say hello. Patients are not even worth a mere hello to him.You will be treated like a thorn in his side.Patients have enough to deal with without being treated like a waste of time, energy, and basic humanity.He is excellent at surgery, but he has zero bedside manner.I would not recommend him to anyone, as going through my surgery with him was traumatizing, already going through a lot, and then being treated poorly on top of that. Patients deserve much better.He will not walk this journey with you like a specialist should. Youll be left begging for the help and answers that you need.It should be added that reception and nurses are wonderful.

Dr Hulme is indeed the most amazing dr I have ever met, Such a honest and caring dr. Laurette brilliant!!!! And all the staff their are so friendly and energetic and very helpful .

I had bad experience with them. I paid something like R2500 but they ddnt do anything. After one week to my suprise l received a call from Lancet laboratories saying l have an outstanding. My R2500 went for nothing. 😏

Although everybody advised me against it - today i listened to my gut and i was right - no Anesthesia was needed for egg retrieval - it was not painful at all - i could feel the needle but no pain - also i was not too impressed with the type of conversation i had to endure from the Anesthesiologist . DR HULME on the other hand was fabulous! bravo!
