First time at Chart Farm and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. We had not made a reservation and being a Sunday, their busiest day of the week, we expected zero chance of being accommodated. Much to our delight the friendly staff found us a table. Service was super quick and efficient. Cappuccinos were great and their selection of cakes vast. The rose garden had few flowers but it was still a deligh to walk through the beautiful gardens. We will be back!

Absolutely stunning place!! A must see in Cape Town. Spend the day walking around the beautiful gardens and pick some roses (R6.50 a rose - not bad at all!!), and definitely have a cup of coffee and cake/lunch at the little restaurant. Visited March/April and there were still lots of roses.

Absolutely amazing view. Wonderful horse farm at the bottom. The food they have there is decently priced and the view is amazing, You can go down to the horse farm below and feed the horses some grass. The waitering service at the restaurant is great! and the rose picking is a wonderful idea for a date.

A breathtaking place, one can pick roses for R6.50 or you can pick your own grapes for R20 per kg I think. Oh theres a brunch/cafe spot where you can chill and have a variety of meals they offer. Make sure you bring your family, its a fun experience!!

Delightful, beautiful venue. Cannot fault the food either. We were here two days in a row for lunch but unfortunately the service was a disaster both times. Waiter not at all attentive, forgot about us both days. On first day brought the wrong bill and second day had to keep getting up to look for the waiter. If you want a beautiful venue, delicious food and not too phased about whether or not you get service, or the right invoice can definitely recommend.

Chart farm is situated behind Wynberg park, a bit of a hidden gem. The space is cosy and has amazing mountain views.I had an amazing breakfast, simply delicious (a phrase I never thought Id use to describe breakfast). They serve Tribe Coffee, if youre not familiar, it is some of the best coffee you can find in Cape Town. Needless to say it was fantastic breakfast experience.Their prices are higher than your usual breakfast place, but it is definitely worth it. The few times Ive been there it has always been full or filled up really fast.

Beautiful scenic spot on Wynberg Hill. We sat outside in the sun viewing the Cape Peninsula mountains, while we had eats. I had a very large English breakfast for R98 while my wife had Earl Grey tea & delicious lemon meringue pie. After that we picked a few roses for her birthday. They have a large variety of roses, all identified e.g. Vera Johns, Double Delight, etc.

Not a great experience. My friend ordered an English breakfast and asked to substitute the bacon for veggie sausage. She clearly stated no bacon.....yet she received bacon. Then she asked if the chef could please send a fresh plate with new mushrooms (these were against the bacon), happy to keep the eggs and sausage. They sent the same mushrooms with a piece of bacon still mixed in, clearly showing absolutely no respect for a diners preference. When I told my husband about this, he said when he went one day and made a special request, he was impoliteltely told to just order the scones. His impression and mine today was that this was not an inclusive restaurant. Not a great experience for a diner in the New South Africa

So my mom recommended this place to me. So cool!!! I spent most of my time trying to entrust the horses (mostly to see if I am still allergic if I am being honest) but wow its so pretty! A place where you are encouraged to taste before taking and where the few bugs dont matter so much right in the middle of town, I will be going as often as I can. I do advise to get your own drinks beforehand though.

Went for what we thought would be a gorgeous breakfast, but was utterly disappointing. On arrival, we were ushered to our table and waiter took our coffee order after having to wave him down a few times. Coffee came - bitter with a hint of burn taste - not sure if its just cheap coffee or how they make it that is the issue.By this time we were starving and after again, having to seek out a waiter to assist we ordered breakfast. The restaurant was in no way busy enough for the waiters to struggle at this level. The breakfasts arrived very quickly and we could immediately see why - a dull plate similar to that one can find at a Wimpy (but atleast Wimpy gives a little colour to their plate with a green leaf atop your meal) - this plate was BLAND.Mushrooms are undercooked and rubbery - didnt eat.The toast was not toast - on picking up a slice it just snapped in half.2 little cherry tomatoes .Pork sausage after cutting open - bright pink inside not cooked. Sent it back and they returned with a new MICROWAVED ONE that did not have the brown of the grill but instead the water of the steam from the microwave. On querying, the waiter said yes its microwaved, would you prefer it grilled 😳 we sent it back, left the rest of the below average meal on the table & left.Couldnt find a waiter to get the bill so went to the front - no apology or sincerity just heres your bill, SEE YA!well yes, see ya indeed!

Stunning view and really tasty scones.However...Firstly, I had looked up the menu online before and had a perfect meal in mind. I was ready to order it to find it wasnt on their menu(new menu according to the waiter, but looked like a very old plastic menu in all honesty). Very disappointingSecondly, we had booked a table for 10:30am and were told to wait outside while they sorted out an IT issue. The manager or whoever was in charge was incredibly rude. We had to wait for 20 minutes until we were let in.The table we were seated at was booked for 12. We believed we deserved an extra twenty minutes as we were told to wait outside for twenty minutes while they sorted out their issue. The person for 12pm arrived on time and we were shouted at by the head waiter (I Think) to leave right then. We were not impressed. You will definitely not be seeing us again.

When my mom-in-law got there at 12:50 she was very rudely informed that no booking had been made, and then told she was an hour late for our booking - so which is it?? The tables were packed so closely together, no way are they complying with distancing regulations. The view and roses are breathtakingly stunning. One can cut ones own selection of roses but its a shame to see how many blooms are cut and carelessly discarded to go to waste and get trampled on. Beautiful surroundings to picnic or enjoy longwalks while picking grapes/ figs. The restaurant offers a small but tasty menu - pity that Lays crisps are only available with burgers/ prego roll - potato wedges/ chips would be a far better option. Service is a tad slow & the cost of wine at R60 per glass is very steep - basically the price of a bottle of white wine.

You can have breakfast or lunch while overlooking the Constantia wine farms and the good is really good, the cakes even better, and they are reasonably priced.
