Go and enjoy with the family !! a Lovely day out in fresh air and al brilliant views
A very clean and well-maintained farm. Guide was very informative and friendly. We even got to touch and interact with the baby and young orstrich as the crowd was manageable on our day of visit, which was a Sunday. They had a range of decent merchandise and even offered simple refreshments at the end of tour. Recommend.
Super amazing stop when you’re coming or going to cape point. Great lunch spot with a bunch of ostrich things on their daily menu, but also two or three other options. The food was delicious!! There is also a store with ostrich handbags, belts etc on the premises. There you can buy a bag of ostrich food and feed Bonnie, Connie and Clyde. That was a lot of fun.
Took my friend from Bangladesh to visit ,,,had a great time and stopped off at restaurant for some lunch,,
Best ever experience with ostriches at the farm and nice ostrich products on sale
Its a perfect setting for those who want a lovely day out. Such a wonderful and scenic drive from Simons Town to Cape Point region. The people are very friendly at the farm. And there were baby Ostriches! So cute. You are even allowed to feed them and can buy feed for a low price from the little farm shop.
Entrance information from parking lot to restaurant and Tour area quite confusing. Pricy for current SA visitors. Should consider price differentiation between SA Citizen, SADC and International visitors.
Nice place but unfortunately expensive for local people.
My family and I had a great experience at the Cape Point Ostrich Farm. The staff are extremely friendly. The tour guide was knowledgeable and articulate. We got to feed the ostriches, pet a snake and hold some baby tortoises. We were also treated to a demonstration in the King Cobra exhibit where the snake handler (not sure if that is the correct term) went in to check up on the cobra and we saw the cobra in all its glory.
Cant buy a bucket to feed the ostriches if you dont spend more than R50.
I visited this place back in the 90s when I was a small boy. Happy to see its still there. The tour was really informative and good value as well.
Amazing beautifull farm to visit. Friendly service. Beautifull animals, fantastic ostrich products to buy and good food. All together with Cape point natural beauty its soo much worth the visit.
New experience to live. Eating an ostrich egg was a challenge accomplished
Well worth the visit. Very informative guided tour.
Home of pure leather products
Staff were really friendly, helpful and informative.
Great place, awesome kids adventure.
Tip top. Definitely do the tour with the reptile centre
Stunning venue, love the snake park as well!
An excellent place to visit. Sustainable ostrich farm were you can buy souvenirs four yourself or someone special...Its a nice special card in Cape Point.Well done!
Great adventure and staff was super friendly. Loved every minute of it
I like the place. Pretty. But the shop was a shock. Everything there was double and even triple the price of what you can get anywhere else in Cape Town. For an afternoon stop over its fine. If you have money to burn, its fine. But if you want nice ostrich products for half price you can go to the Waterfront or any shop.
Left home at about 11AM and reached the farm at about 11.30. Nice drive towards the farm with similar looking trees on both sides of the road.Paid for the tickets and waited for some time before the previous tourists could finish their tour. Shepperd was our guide and had lots of information about the Ostriches that really impressed us.We fed the ostriches of different ages, stood on the eggs and clicked pictures of the ostriches in different poses and had a very good time. There were 2 crocodiles lazing in their enclosure. Got to hold a tortoise and saw few emus. Also got to sit on an ostrich and pose for a few minutes.Took a short stroll around the farm and saw few ducks and geese.Had to give ostrich meat a try so ordered a mini fillet which took a good 15 mins odd to be ready. Found the meat which was served with boiled vegetables and fries, very tasty. Finally looked around the souvenir shop for an ostrich egg and picked up one with the image/painting of the bushmen on it (I think it is right from The gods must be crazy)Drove straight back home after a satisfying experience at the farm. Definitely recommended.
Loved it here. Really interesting. Loved to see the ostrich. Photos to be uploaded soon
Shop with beautiful merchandise.
Beautiful items for sale, staff are friendly and amazingly helpful. Great place to take the whole family
Cape Point Ostrich Farm is a hidden gem and one of the most beautiful ostrich farms in the Cape region. We found this place by fluke and I have to say that I was very happy we did. The ostrich farm shop is a little expensive, however you are getting top quality ostrich leather products. Do yourself a favour and go for lunch at the restuarant. The food is simply amazing! The chef is very friendly and prepare all her dishes in a classic South African home cooked style.
A few ostriches, and an assortment of curios are really all that distinguish this place. OK, so theres a restaurant, but they could do so much more with this location - situated as it is on the main route from Cape Town to Cape Point. There must be millions of tourists who pass here every year, yet this place always seems empty.
Very interesting guided tour of ostriches and reptiles. Recommended.
I loved this place.
Ostrich tour was interesting. Food was OK, not amazing. 10% tip added by waitress automatically .. Uncool
The one star is for the nicely kept gardens and white washed buildings, from there on its all downhill. This place is purely set up off the back of catching tourists on their way to/from Cape Point/Cape of Good Hope. There are a handful or ostriches to be seen in a fenced off field, a restaurant and shop. On entering the shop there are at least 10 sales assistants who will approach you as soon as you look at something. Ridiculously expensive products; handbags, shoes, painted ostrich eggs etc., all of which can be bought for less elsewhere. This is not a farm, there are no animals reared here, very disappointing.
What a rather surprising spot and environment to find an ostrich farm...beautifull area... If I was an ostrich farmer, I would prefer this location rather than Oudtshoorn...!
Cool place to visit to learn more about ostriches. Child friendly.
A very peaceful and quiet to wander around at.
Beautifull farm and locally produced handmade items are a must see.
Nice farm. Tour to see and understand ostrich not too bad. Shop not so special
We had such fun taking a tour of the Ostrich Farm and I loved learning that every part of the ostrich is used and nothing is wasted. We saw the baby ostriches, we fed the adult ostriches, we had a cuppa. A great little stop!
Great stop!
Friendly staff. Well priced menu. Spotlessly clean 💯🥂💯
Cool place
Take care of your star David, he is such a nice guy. We learnt wery much about ostriches. Thank you for your helpful information. Keep up that good work that you are doing.
Just popped in while driving by. Would love to go back to do the tour and feed the ostriches.
Very beautiful place of cape point and cool
What a waste of time
Nice experience...the tour is interesting
Get up close and personal with ostriches. Then visit the store for a great display of Ostrich related gifts
It is an expensive but nice shop. It is said to be an ostrich farm but I saw only two pet ostriches. Surroundings are nice.It doesnt seem to be a working farm. If you pass it consider a stop, but it is not worth the trip.
Very small place with limited activities. But the staff are the best and make your experience worthwhile
Great view of the the mountains. You can see and take pics of ostriches.
The shop prices are crazy expensive. It’s always fun to hand feed an ostrich though, so it’s worth the quick stop.
Get the tour and feed the ostriches. Lovely experience.
Interesting place to quickly stop by to see the birds (if in the area already).
Beautiful farm. Ostriches are very visible to the public.
Tasty food nice views you need to try it while you are going to cape of good hope
Very nicely maintained grounds, friendly staff and frequent tours in multiple languages
The ostrich fillet was excellent
Didnt know what to do there. Just took a look at the gift shop there and the ostriches outside.
Very far, not organized, and we had met a racist lady who pretended as the farm owner who treat the visitors based on color and religion. She allowed Whites to play with turtles but prohibited others from playing with them.
Really good shop and you can feed the ostrich very funny
Lots of Ostriches, theyve got reptiles too
Not a nice experience. We walked the cape camino and did not feel welcome there.
The Ostrich Farm now incorporates the Cape Point Reptile Rehabilitation Centre which is a must see for visitors
Best Ostrich-Steak i had!
Very expensive but the scenery and surroundings are beautiful.
Staff is great and knowledgeable
Expensive and did not even serve scones!!!
Disappointing - so much more that could have been offered
Enjoyable experience however very pricey
If you want an ostrich handbag for half the price, thats the place to go.
Beautiful part of the world.
Great to have lunch here
