Barksole are a really useful, well priced, no nonsense friendly shop. Ive used them twice now for keys and all three sets I had made worked first time. Thoroughly recommend them !

Handed in a quality brown leather pouch for a new zip and some tlc wrt stitching at Barksole Strand. Arrived as per instructions but the bag wasnt ready, waited 30mins outside the shop and was then presented with the bag which now had a bright blue zip (prev copper colour)and no tlc, instead the worst unmatching attempt at stitching which has possibly ruined the bag. I was not happy and was told he had run out of other zips but that I could return the next day and hell resolve it with a sensible zip. I gave it 3 days and now no zip!!! and no tlc just bad stiching, what a scam. Dont get caught by these guys. They make you pay upfront, and then of course theres no incentive to do a good decent job.Unprofessional time wasters. I have asked for a refund. Whoever owns or believes in the Franchise reputation should seriously visit that store.

Wanting to collect my repairs this morning, store closed with no notice, no telephone number or contact details. Being back 3 times and obviously the phone just rings, besides this, they are expensive and have long lead times. Never again.

Terrible. boots promised to me Friday at 16hoo..I arrive at 16hoo to find shop CLOSED. sat morning I am waiting for shop to open... no sign of life. I then get accused of lying. This man is arrogant and rude. I took my boots and marched out. Lost my R200.00 deposit. Took my boots to Barksole in Strand and received excellent service. I will never put my feet in that dingy shop in Somerset West again.

Had a key cut and bought new shoelaces this weekend.... great service; friendly shop assistant - even let the kids watch the key cutting process!! And the key worked first time...thanks!!

Very poor service. Staff rude. Had key cut there and it doesnt work. Place is out of my way so wont be able to get it fixed quickly.
